Orlebar Brown “Best in Class Dogs” Shorts

Orlebar Brown "Best in Class Dogs" Shorts

It is indeed seasonally warm in New England today. All I can think about is being on the bike and the coming spring and summer. That means shorts time. Orlebar Brown makes some classic heat-wear and their “Best in Class Dogs” collection, with mutts digitally printed onto their wares, is something well off the normal path. We’ve seen much worse on the market. They are more than fine.

Opening Ceremony for Robert Clergerie Lace-up Shoe

The OC worked through the Robert Clergerie archives for their latest co-working: the Naja lace-up shoe. “For our third season exploring the robert clergerie archives, we put a striking, slightly industrial twist on the classics. Your favorite pair perfected, the naja lace-up is a luxurious, leather dress shoe elevated by a ridged, clear rubber sole with matching injected dye.”

In the second of our new series, we take a look at London based label Braille. A two man team of Samuel Kientsch and Benjamin Vorono, they launched the brand a year ago, back in February of 2010. We caught up with them recently and gave a short Q&A, finding out a little more about the brand.

Take a leap to read it.

Thom Browne Spring/Summer 2011 Editorial Shots

Here are some editorial shots showcasing Thom Browne’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection. What we love about these styled looks are the pleasantries of the models. Nothing neutral with these: it’s all smiles and shine. (c)

Christoph Keller – A Perisher’s Nostalgia

18 February 2011, 18.30 | Posted in Books & Magazines | No comments »

Selectism - christoph-keller

Launching in two weeks time, this Christoph Keller exhibition focuses on the relationship between books and art. The full title is ‘Books and art – a relational crisis’ and, as you’d expect, it explores how the two mediums function together. Without wasting too much e-ink, it looks like an interesting study and anyone in London who’s interested would do well to pop down. (Manystuff)

Parabellum The Archer Tote Bag

Seen on Highsnobiety: The Parabellum collection delivers a new American bison leather tote bag to the market. While it looks reserved in design, the bag features some very high end details which make it exceptional. Beyond the adjustable straps, removable holding base, it is reinforced with Kevlar. That’s serious business for something as staple as a tote. Handmade in Los Angeles.

Anderson’s ‘2781′ Belt

Selectism - andersons-belt-01

At this point it’s almost redundant posting up an Anderson’s belt. We say almost because, well, we’re still posting them up. This one is a little different from the ones that’s been around the blogs and ay yah yah, mainly because it’s a braided calf leather. And it’s also a Studio Homme exclusive, so that’s nice.
