Tretorn’s Obo will satisfy all wet weather needs – the mid height boot is handsomely made up with both water proof leather and a Gore-Tex lining. We’re hoping next Winter isn’t as rough, but we’re also excited for the potential of appropriate footwear that isn’t based on a rubber toe.

We’re always on the lookout for solid sweatshirts. The Scifen Company brought this number – made of needle out French terry with a flat knit rib cuff and collar – to our attention at Project LV. Part of the brands vision of “men’s basics,” strong design details are bringing this brand from its streetwear roots to a new audience.

Building from the popular Wexler from Spring/Summer 2011, Tsubo adds its take on the Wingtip boot for Autumn 2011. Set for release in both black and brown.

We usually ignore window displays, but when DSM do them we take notice. This time they’ve teamed up with Egg London, installing three plinths of layered clothes. The clothes are a mass of 18-19th century peasant clothing collected by Bryony Thomasson which create a three dimensional montage of Thomasson’s adventures. We like that turn of phrase, we wonder if we can use it to describe when we leave piles of clothes on the floor? No? fair enough.

Made in Colombia (yes, Colombia!), Hasso produces backpacks with nylon or wool bodies and contrasting tan leather. The bags are well equipped for daily life, featuring specific pockets for iPod and a laptop compartment lined in faux-fur.

Set for release in Autumn 2011, the MB-1 and MB-2 are the first watches designed by Michael Bastian for GANT. Each will be produced in a limited edition of 1949 – referencing the year of Gant’s corporate birth – and comes with two strap options.

The watches will launch at Barney’s and retail at $395.

Some new Happy Socks action with the The Standard Hotel chain. “Happy Socks signs eight pairs of socks, two pairs per hotel: Downtown LA, Miami Beach, Hollywood and New York. The pairs will be available through an original retail process using each room’s mini bar.” Look for them throughout The Standard suite of hotels soon.

If you’re one of those folks who have to have a certain piece from a certain brand then a Gloverall duffle is an essential.
