lanvin milan shop opens 5 Lanvin Opens Its First Italian Store in Milan

I would have never guess that Lanvin did not already have a stand-alone shop in Italy. That’ all changed though. They’ve announced the opening of their first Italian store by way of Milano. “Lanvin anounces the opening of its first Italian store in Milan, in the famous Quadrilatero della moda… This one occupies the ground floor of a beautiful hotel particulier with character, of more than 100 square meters, at the corner of Via Della Spiga and Via Santo Spirito, both Milanese luxury temples.” Find them at Via della Spiga 25, Milan.

selectism - Arrows by Fredericks and Mae

Every urban woodsman needs some arrows. The look is no longer complete with just a beard, Filson coat, and some Redwings. Weapons are needed. (Just Kidding).

While weapons certainly aren’t needed, Fredericks and Mae’s decorative arrows – made with wood, feathers, thread, gold, and silver – are uniquely crafted and have great individual flare. We’ll go as far as saying their more visually exciting than a random axe, and a real at home conversation starter.

View more arrows after the jump.

nanamica Field Blazer & Pants

nanamica presents once again their beautiful field blazer for Spring/Summer 2011. This time they also included the matching vest and pants, offering all three pieces in 2 solid colorways. The Field Suite uses Pertex fabric, which is a tightly woven weather proof and breathable fabric, mostly used in the performance sports market. The combination of this functionality with nanamica design is as usual very intriguing.

Take a further look at the new nanamica product after the jump.

Selectism - drakes-grey-polo-01

Elongate your polo shirt with this Drakes number. It’s one for the connoisseurs – 100% 30 gauge cashmere, knitted in Scotland, smoked pearl buttons – the whole shebang. It’s one of those that’ll justify the price when you put it on. And at £315, you’ll need a lot of justification. (Drakes)

Selectism - julius-leather-jacket-01

In our ongoing attempts to make everyone with an interest in menswear emigrate to Japan, here’s a look at this Julius leather jacket. The washed leather look isn’t for everyone but it’s more versatile than you’d think, so you shouldn’t be scared of it. Anyway, stop wasting time and get your proxy on. (Mindtrive)

Wood Wood ‘Robben’ Jumper

Selectism - wood-wood-robben-jumper-01

Let’s start off this day with some powerful knitwear [/Dip Set]. This sky blue jumper is pushing the seasons a tad, but not too much. A little colour never hurt nobody and it’s not like you’ll be that guy who pulls out his shorts whenever the sun’s out. (Wood Wood)

01. 10 More Rappers Amber Rose Should Date

“These days, it seems like a week doesn’t go by without Amber Rose snagging web headlines. Two weeks ago, nude photos of the stripper-turned-model leaked. From those flicks alone, we understand why Wiz Khalifa ditched Natalie Nunn and hitched Ms. Rose. Early today a snapshot from Fader of Khalifa and the video vixen snuggling on a coach surfaced. But who really knows if the relationship will be a forever thing or if Amber is just a “Mrs. Rightfernow.” In case things don’t work out XXLMag.com came up with a few MCs the blond bombshell can canoodle with if anything sours.” (XXL)

More flat envy here. This time it’s Raul Walch’s turn. (Freunde Von Freunden)

03. Chris Black – New York

Here’s Backyard Bill’s latest subject. (Backyard Bill)

04. Manny Pacquiao: Superstar, Not Savior

““He comes at a very fortuitous time. If anybody can bring boxing back to the mainstream … it’s Manny Pacquiao.” – Bob Arum (Associated Press)

Lance Armstrong is one of the most iconic and well-known athletes in the United States. The famed cyclist achieved unprecedented success in his sport by winning the Tour de France seven times, two more than any man in history. He transcended a niche sport with his incredible and inspiring personal story, overcoming testicular cancer before achieving his amazing success.

In short, Lance Armstrong is as big a star as there is in the galaxy of sports. He is as recognizable a name in the U.S. as Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, Peyton Manning or Derek Jeter. His name registers beyond cycling fans, beyond hardcore sports fans, and beyond casual sports fans, to grandmothers and school kids and men with lives far too busy or interesting to spend time thinking about grown men competing for sport. Athletes simply don’t get much more famous than Lance Armstrong.

As for cycling… well, who gives a shit about cycling?

This is the crux of my current trepidation.” (Queensbury Rules)

Moshin Ali Autumn/Winter 2011

Selectism - moshin-ali-autumn-2011-01

The savagely stylish duo at Style Salvage showcased the look book of Moshin Ali last week and it deserves a second look. While the entire collections covetable, the coats caught our eye – they even breathe life into the quilted jacket, which is on its last legs (in the UK at least).

Take a leap to see some more looks.
