Magculture has a look at Under The Influence, the fashion mag that’s eight issues deep. From what we can see it looks nicely designed – and not just in that Fantastic Man-esque manner. We hate to say anyone’s ripping off someone else, so let’s just say a lot of mags have been singing from Fantastic Man’s hymnbook.

While spending forever looking behind the curtain can get tedious there are some processes we don’t mind seeing, especially when the end result looks great. Drawn In is a new book by Julia Rothman and they’ve showcased their cover choices and how they came to their final choice. The book hits stores in June.

The first in a series of books coming form Japan’s HUGE Magazine Huzine imprint, Tools is a book collecting the very best in “tools.” From ladders to spatulas and more, Tools falls into the common school of photo books. Worth a look if you can find it outside of Japan.

A 1974 Porsche Carrera is up for grabs. “One of only 528 built that year, it comes complete with a professionally re-installed ducktail, “Carrera” details, and a paint job that’s as bold as the car itself is quick (thanks to an impressive 8.3lbs/HP power to weight ratio).”  Auction starts tomorrow. Even we admit, it is a beauty, though I still prefer a pre-1990 911.

SHOWstudio sits down with Yohji Yamamoto “to coincide with the retrospective exhibition of Yohji Yamamoto’s work at London’s Victoria and Albert museum (12 March-10 July 2011).”  Well worth a viewing.
