Remember when we showcased Mighty Mac a while back? (if you don’t there’s a link so you can pretend you did). Now Oi Polloi have them and we couldn’t help but post them up. We’re not sure how useful the bag actually is on your back, especially as you can’t reach the bag while it’s on your back. It’s still a nice coat though, and the shade of blue is perfect for spring. Here’s a blazer for the summer months. We love everything about ts(s) – bar the price tags – but that should be expected when buying a line that’s based in Japan. The world’s a global village until you have ship something, where it suddenly goes back to being very ‘ye olde world’. If you can get past the price tag, then it’s a great piece though. (Context)

A good polo shirt is hard to turn down. And, obviously, this is a good polo shirt. While we can’t say we’re the inspiration for this shirt is from, but it looks like a polo version of a contrast collar banker’s shirt. It’s kinda wall street gone scally, in a good way. (Fred Perry)

We can never go long without putting up a pair of Nike’s up here. We like the suede versions and all, but they’re not really spring ready, nawmean? These canvas versions have all the colour one would need on their feet and won’t get ruined in the rain. (Tres Bien)

04. Abandonded Skyscraper in Venezuela is the World’s Tallest Shanty Town

“In the middle of downtown Caracas in Venezuela is an abandoned 45 story tower that has been reclaimed by squatters who have turned it into a thriving vertical shanty town. Built during the booming nineties when the real estate market was putting up ever larger edifices to the banking industry, the project, which is one of the tallest in Latin America, became a financial white elephant. Named after developer David Brillembourg, an estimated 2500 people now call the Tower of David home. After his death the government took possession, but seems to not have the stomach to change the status quo. Two decades later, the tower has become a symbol of the decline of Venezuela for some but can also be viewed as a triumph of the spirit its occupants.” (Inhabitat).
