These mid-tops espadrilles from Balenciaga will piss off the espadrille purists. We like them for their attempt to mix leathers into the picture and really making them into something new. Check that leather heel hit. Don’t worry, the jute sole remains. The black piping works as well. LN-CC has them.

Braille are still in their infancy, but we really like what we’ve seen of them so far. Their third collection is entitled ‘our damn hands’ and, whaddya know, it’s a great collection. Standouts include the green duffle coat using fireman’s clips instead of the usual toggles. But don’t let us pollute your with our opinion, take a leap and look for yourself.

Well colour us surprised. APC quietly opened a new space in London’s Redchurch Street on saturday (12 March) and, according to their staff, it’s a permanent residence. Redchurch Street is – to use a cliche -  a ’street to watch’  with Aesop (next door to APC) and Hostem in the very near vicinity. There’s also some other stores planned for that road. We’d say who but we don’t want to get Galliano’ed from the game.
