On Monday May 2, 2011, Dockers will announce the winners of their $100,000 “Wear the Pants” project.

The contest encourages men to take action on a personal dream as yet unrealized. Five finalists have been selected – each with a distinct desire and project. Joshua Kuch, for example, plans to open a microbrewery in Tallahassee, Florida if he claims victory. In contrast, Ryland King of Goleta, California (pictured above) aims to expand his youth driven nonprofit which empowers children to become stewards of the environment.

The new Spring/Summer 2011 collection from Left Field gives us a different take on classic garments. The “Green Strip” Polo is one piece that looks to be a hit for the season. The shirt is made of “100% Ringspun Cotton” and is manufactured in the United States. Oh, those masters of streetwear, Highsnobiety, are clearly looking to up your fashion game a bit. Today, they launched a five shop store guide to menswear in London. While limited to five shops (they kept it tight, ya know), the guide is a nice  first-time visitor’s guide not only on where to spend your money but also to a few different parts of the city to explore.

Estonia’s Portel delivers this simple leather wallet which doubles as an iPhone holster as well. They are hand-made and  do have a certain look to them. While I wish those snap closures were smaller, these will work for most.

This mid-length pair of shorts from Insight features a raw hem edge that remind us of those Dickies cut-offs we made during our youth (shit, we still do it). But with the Insight pair, the pattern is more appropriate for wooing in your better half (or a new one). Would love to see Mourihno rocking these. Need Supply has them. Airy.

South Africa based, QUAMTA, delivers a fine collection of leather goods to the marker. We focus on their “classic” collection but this is only but one of their many collection.
