Thom Browne Brogue Boots Autumn/Winter 2011

A highlight for us from the upcoming Thom Browne Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection was the above Brogue Boot. It comes in a beautiful dark brown suede colorway with leather mid-sole and Crepe outer sole. The eyelets come in metallic silver and of course they feature the tricolor branding on the heel. Look out for these to release later this year.

Santo Domingo Boots Kiltie Wing Tip Oxford Shoes

Santo Domingo Boots (part of the Meg Company that also runs Yuketen and Monitaly) deliver these wing tip oxfords to the market. Better than the outside look is the suede cushioned liner on the inside. That’s half the battle with good shoes. The Vibram sole finished it off nicely. (couvertureandthegarbstore)

Notch Single Malt Whiskey

selectism - Notch Single Malt Whiskey

There once was a man from Nantucket… who made the insane decision to distill single malt whiskey.

“Notch, as in “not Scotch, but rather single malt whisky from Nantucket,” is a new world whisky distilled from pure island glacial water. Cisco Brewers develops the whisky wash by producing a young beer made from Maris Otter malt; the wash is then transferred to the Triple Eight Distillery, where the alcohol is heated in a small copper pot still. The heart of this pure distillate is captured and racked in ex-bourbon barrels from the makers of Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace. The fresh distillate is then laid to rest in the bonded warehouse for 8 years.”

Connection with the excellent Cisco Brewers is a positive.

It appears bottles cost $888. Order here.
