selectism - Rogue Territory Handkerchiefs

More handmade accessories from Los Angeles’ Rogue Territory. Founder Karl Thoennessen cooked these hankerchiefs up just last week, using chambray from Kaihara Mills, denim from Nihon Menpu Mills, and hickory denim from Kaihara Mills respectively. Each has a woven Rogue Territory Loop label. Whip your sweat away in style.

A look at all three handkerchiefs after the jump.

Here’s a short and snappy look at Timberland Boot Company. We think ‘earthy’ is the best way to describe it but we’d happily accept ‘rustic’, ‘crafted’ & ‘made with love’ as acceptable descriptions/cliches.

Take a leap to see a couple more looks.

Curated has this gallery recap:

“Japanese artist Haroshi recently opened his new “Future Primitive” exhibition at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York City.

In Future Primitive, the artist will introduce subject matter inspired by the city of New York. Haroshi’s work reflects his unique perspective as a skate enthusiast with Japanese heritage, in that his technical approach to sculpture combines the influence of time-honored traditional methods of his homeland with the spirit of innovation and technology inherent in its contemporary culture.”

Thom Browne Umbrella Tote

Here’s one of the tote lovers. This Thom Browne bag won’t appease anyone who still calls totes manbags (or anyone who uses the phrase manbag) but those on board should love a bit of this. We’d call it grandma-chic, but we have a sneaking suspicion that might put a few folks off. (Restir)

Here’s a quilted jacket the Wu would approve of. The quilted jacket is nearing the end of it’s trend lifespan (in the UK at least, it’s just about starting in the US) which means designers are going a bit crazy with the patterns. While there’s obviously a lot that can go wrong with this turn, there’s a lot that can work as well. Like this Bedwin jacket for instance. We can dig it. Can you? (Garbstore)

Selectism - nonnative-tracksuit-bottoms-01

We’ve got Rebecca Black problems this morning. Is the new trend dressing up, Sprezzy-style or dressing down, sweatpants style? Which one do we chooooooose? We feel like the rest of the blog world is dictating we all dress up but, us being the contrarians we are, are advising pieces like this. Then again, what’s wrong with doing both? Just keep these away from smart situations and you’ll be fine. (Oki-Ni)
