Sure, some consider this mid-season, but it is the perfect time to reflect on the garments available right now. Garbstore’s “Men Who Did,” the theme of the Spring/Summer 2011 collection, has been shot on a remarkable chair – made of oars – and features perfect pastels and the best sweat shorts (possibly) of all time. Kansas City based Baldwin Denim offers up a new addition to their collection. “The Aaron” Jacket features a standard fit with distinct “spread collar.” The jacket is made of Cone Mill denim and is all crafted in the U.S.A. The jacket features a flat panel back with triple stitch across the back yoke, welt pockets and custom baldwin hardware.

Core77 comes through with news on three new collection from Moleskine designed by Giulio Lachetti with focus on “reading, writing and travel.” You’ll find various objects in these collections. “They include bags, pens, pencils, reading glasses, cases, reading stands and USB rechargeable booklights. They will join the existing collections of legendary Moleskine notebooks and planners as a complete set of tools for cultural pleasure and mobile living.”

Stone Island continues pushing with their fashion forward Shadow Project collection with these excellent sweat pants. The drawstrings along the leg openings are the draw, literally allowing for you to adjust the wear to your preferred slouch. Ital0-made. Big fans. Haven has them.

Mt. Rainer Design creates collections for the true “outdoorsman,” and the “Hunting Parka” is a perfect example. Made of 60/40 cotton/poly fabric the piece is made to withstand the climate changes while looking pretty sharp. The jacket offers leather storm toggle and has a handful of pockets to store those necessary tools on your daily urban treks. Unionmade has them.

These beautiful frames from Oliver People’s for Takahiromiyashita are made up of new and deadstock components. The addition of the clip on is a solid bonus. While not my personal color, the amber finish on the acetate and shape make them some of the strongest frames on the market today. Hoping they land outside the Japan market as well. S2W8 has them.
