Erdem Akan the Depozit Whiskey Tumbler is made from a hand-cut recycled beer bottle. Considered it a green version of a classic, dare we say vintage, style tumbler.

The tumbler is part of Destination: Istanbul a MoMA-exclusive product collection highlighting lifestyle products from Turkey.

IFC in Hong Kong haa re-opened with a “wealth” of newly furnished and designed shops. Lanvin is of course part of the event. They piggy back their Spring/Summer 2011 t-shirts onto this opening to hep push the point. The casual takes are easy to wear and proper for all.

The team over at the General Store show us another addition to their selections for the season. A new brand called, Sackville, shows us the perfect utilitarian bicycle tote. The tote is “designed to clip on to your bicycle basket,” while keeping all your stuff safe and dry. The Olive color looks the most versatile because it won’t get as dirty like the other colors. It’s available in two sizes and can fit a decent amount of goods.

Golden Goose, an Italian company was launched in 2000 by Alessandro Gallo and Francesca Rinaldo. Soon after the duo began styling “MTV Italy’s wardrobe.” The line “gets its originality from their effort put into researching and reinventing vintage materials.” The “Golden Goose Denim” is just one example of a washed jean that offers gold studs on the pockets. The jean is available in black and white and the fabric consists of 98% cotton and 2% elastane. The jean is all made in Italy. Aloha Rag has them.

We certainly see more than enough brogues these days and unfortunately as a result people seem to forget about all the other great classics out there. The Monk Strap has always been a favorite and Thom Browne offers up his version of the leather shoe this upcoming Autumn/Winter 2011 season. It comes in brown leather with leather sole and his tricolor branding on the heel. Something to look out for!
