Levi’s Made & Crafted, the design focused collection from the Levi’s XX division, brings some nicely detailed pieces for Autumn 2011. Manufacture, not surprisingly, is placed at a premium, and the goods are crafted in some of the finest factories in the world. The shirting, leather motorcycle jackets, bags, and accessories are all made in Italy; and, new for Made & Crafted is special men’s capsule line of Cone selvage denim that is made in California.

Additionally, there is a selection of chinos.

When you think Angus Young, you think awesome. Then, you think shorts.

Left Field pays homage to the AC/DC legend in a quartet of new shorts for Spring/Summer 2011. One pair is a Spanish Chambray, one made of Japanese Hickory Stripe, a Japanese Pinstripe, and the final a US grown and woven red Organic Cotton Twill. Details are the same for all four, and they include a chain-stitched waist band, heavy-duty YKK zipper fly, front slash pockets, back welt pockets, Japanese chambray pocket bags, and sustainable Corozo buttons throughout.

The wedged sole Wolverine Beck chukka from their 1883 collection delivers a solid desert boot style with an oil resistant upper and clean finish. Avaialble in two colorways, the Beck should last for seasons… just give it some slight care.

A thin count fabric is employed on the upper on these Converse All-Star sneakers for the MHL. Japan line. The upper also has a slight wash look and features a proper hit on the inside heel. For the headz. (h)

Following up on our coverage this past January from BBB…. here are proper looks at the forthcoming Nigel Cabourn for Eddie Bauer collection for Autum 2011. What we’re looking at is strong, highly tailored and developed outwear the Seattle staple brand. It would now seem that the collection may become available in the U.S.A.

Raf Simons releases a new blazer from their Spring/Summer 2011 ready-to-wear collection at thecorner.com. It’s a traditional cotton blazer with just a touch of Elastane to give it some breathing room. Expect a two-button closure with a generous four pocket offering. The jacket comes unlined but has an array of superior ribbing details throughout the garment. A true collaboration of modernism and sophistication with this classic blazer. I have a Raf Simons suit and the fit was always impeccable.

Neighbor’s in-house line brings a selection of rugby shirts including this navy and red striped number. “We had the opportunity to work with Columbiaknit in Portland to develop and design these rugby crews and explored the factory’s fabric archive to pick out one of a kind bolts of fabric.” U.S.A. made.

A solid woven boot from the Opening Ceremony shoe family. “The Iven2 boots from Opening come with the Double C style rune – Classic and Classy. The woven brown leather upper is simply beautiful and while making sure that you are not wearing the same as everybody else around you, they do not attract too much attention either. Subtle elegance is what we would call it!” SOTO has them.

With the recent launch of their flagship store in San Francisco, Nice Collective their version of the v-neck shirt. Their “Stripped V-Neck” shirt is a key piece for this season. The shirt comes in an “off-white” fabric and has a very re-engineered look. A handful of frayed seams at the ribbing and sleeves make for a industrial look without losing any of its appeal. The v-neck also has an overlapping “V” style which is unique. The NCS-1007 V-neck will be a interesting shirt to see after a few washes.
