Non-stop from Florence. Again, rather than show you everything, we’re picking and choosing a handful of looks from collections of display. Here’s a teaser from Jack Spade. Ephemera fans and postcard collectors alike will be familiar with the famous postcards that keep and allow us to share our memories of famous landmarks and cities. Jack Spade was inspired by postcards for a series of printed wallets coming in Spring 2012. The billfold style wallets also feature those short inlay descriptions on the interior left pocket. Stick them on your fridge.

After discovering the joys of Monsieur Lacenaire during a trip to Copenhagen, we were instantly smitten by the playful joy of knitted varsity jackets and plackets that metamorphose into scarves. Hell, we only ran a video of the latest collection on-site in March, but we couldn’t wait to find out more so, thankfully, we caught up with Mme. Garance Broca to do just that.

Apparently there is some cool stuff happening that has nothing to do with Pitti. We’re as shocked as you are:

“During the early 80’s, Sophie Bramly stood witness to the first commercial flowering of hip-hop in the Bronx. She photographed her friends – Afrika Bambaataa, Futura, Kurtis Blow and Fab Five Freddy – both in public and private. These photographs are a rare document of hip-hop’s early days. Filled with energy, they embody the raw spirit of the era and the endless talent of the participants. Paris’ 12mail Gallery shares Bramly’s work beginning this weekend and running through September 2, 2011.”

Here’s one for the Gore-Tex fanatics (goreheads?). We all know about Nanamica’s goretex blending ways and this time they’ve done the trick with some denim. There’s also some bags in the mix, a great looking varsity jacket and an electric yellow raincoat. We also have to note that this is one of the brands that drew stares and pictures when we modelled them, so don’t be surprised if you see Nanamica in more stores than usual come next spring. Either that, or they may have just liked our faces. Both are a possibility.
