Clarks Desert Rain Shoes

This walking cousin of the Desert Boot gives the moc an interesting and clean re-look. The Desert Rain features a suede upper and a crepe sole and  features almost nothing extraordinary outside of the shape of the silhouette. Oi Polloi has them.

More looks after the click.

Sneek Peek | Bentley Factory Tour in Crewe, England

For those who followed my Twitter feed last week, you will have noted a number of photos featuring Bentley automobiles. The reason, of course, was a wonderful factory tour of the Bentley facility in Crewe, England, about an hour from Manchester. Over the course of two days in Crewe, a handful of friends and I were given some pretty open access on their factory floor as well as inside Mulliner, their made-to-order customization showroom. In the coming days, we’ll show you much more from inside Bentley.

For now, enjoy these looks from inside Bentley’s Crew facility.

Arsenal 2011/2012 Away Kit by Nike

selectism - Arsenal 2011/2012 Away Kit by Nike

Celebrating 125 years, club tradition is evident in Arsenal’s 2011/2012 away kit. The front of the shirt is divided into two halves, navy blue and turquoise blue, inspired by past away uniforms. The kit features the same bespoke crest (marking the anniversary year) as the home shirt, and with the addition of a diagonal line of the shirt front – reference to Dial Square Sundial at the Arsenal munitions factory in Woolwich, where the Club was conceived in 1886 – there’s ample heritage packed in the top. With celebratory tone, the kit also looks forward… Arsenal’s 2011/2012 away kit continuing Nike’s push for the most environmentally-friendly athletic apparel.

More images of what the Gunners will be wearing away from Emirates this season after the jump.

Capsule | Norsea Industries Spring/Summer 2012

Selectism - norsea-spring-2012-05

Norsea have been one of our favourites for a while now. They’ve always been just that bit to the left of what’s popular, despite all the whole heritage boom. This time they’ve done some pieces in a very handsome Japanese terry cloth (including this shawl collared bomber jacket, something we want for ourselves) alongside the usual Norsea goodness.

Take a leap to see more.

Selectism - olivier-borde-spring-2012-01

You know when a brand’s right up your alley? That’s how we feel about Olivier Borde. It’s a little bit fashion, a little bit sporty with a hint of tailoring. If we had to describe it in a sentence, we’d call it our ideal wardrobe for the summer. The only problem is that we’ll have to wait until next summer to get our mitts on it.
