Hamilton 1883 Shirts for Autumn/Winter 2011

Hamilton 1883 for Autumn 2011 offers a great collection of looks for all. Argyle comes into play as does more takes on plaids. The spilled ink splatter shirt, shown above left, is a strong favorite on this end. The cuts on Hamilton are more fitted than the traditional classic American made shirts. The fit is preferred.

Selectism - cottonopolis-preview-01

It’s been a long, long, long, long wait but here’s Oi Polloi’s in house brand, Cottonopolis. Details are still thin on the ground but we do know that the range will have Italian knitwear, english made leather belts and a Parka made near their new store (the Thomas St residence).

Take a leap to see co-founder of Oi Polloi (and designer of the range) Nigel Lawson overseeing the parka in production.

Selectism - hamilton-1883-autumn-2011-01

Hamilton’s autumn 2011 collection just fell in and it’s only fit and proper that we take a look at it. Like everyone they’ve added a few patterned shirts to their collection although, thankfully, they’re still relatively subtle. Elsewhere is the usual Hamilton goodness and there’s even some spread collars in the mix – perfect for the nu-Ameritalians out there.

Take a leap, see more shots.

Selectism - moncler-v-shirt-01

The bad news? The Moncler Visvim collaboration is coming to end. We heard it from Hiroki, who said the contract was finished after fall 2011. Of course the contract can be renewed but, as of right now, this is the last of the Moncler V collaboration. The good news? You’ve got a chance to get your hands on some pieces from the last collection, like this oxford shirt. (End)

We love a bit of leopard, especially when it’s applied to our footwear. It can be a bit hit or miss elsewhere but some leopard print on the feet is a timeless classic as far as we’re concerned. You might even call it a staple. So staple out your wardrobe with these chukkas. (LN-CC)
