Attachment Men's Collection for Autumn/Winter 2011

Men’s Reverie takes a deep look at the Autumn 2011 collection from Japan’s Attachment. Designer, Kazuyuzuki Kamagai, continues to search and use new fabrics and textile in the collection while keeping the color palette around a darker, “anthracite” play with slight hints of brights. Expect the usual run of men’s garments all developed with that Japanese touch.

SALMONS AND BROWN 01 selectism PROJECT NY | Salmons & Brown

Debuting spring 2012, Salmons & Brown offers clean, tailored styles with a little edge. Partner John Salmons, a current member of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, has a longstanding interest in fashion, translated now into a collection that balances military and nautical influences. With Sherman Brown, a young tailor, Salmons hired designer Joe Sundlie, a graduate of Parsons School of Design and 20 year veteran of the fashion industry.

Highlights include a washed linen trench and suede biker jacket. Check these and more from Salmons & Brown’s debut collection after the jump.

Styled by Madbury Club for Selectism. Special thanks to John Salmons for joining us in the photo shoot.

Timberland Boot Company Spring 2012 Preview

A look at the tobacco shade boot coming from the Timberland Boot Company for Spring 2012. It looks as though much of the materials and builds are coming local from the New England area that Timberland calls home. “The Spring 2012 men’s line is built to last a lifetime, with most materials sourced from the Americas – Horween leather from Chicago, laces from Rhode Island, eyelets and soles from Massachusetts and midsole leather and footbeds from Pennsylvania.” If this preview is any indication, fans of the classic silhouettes and materials will be pleased. Above is a preview from the “Eastern Standard Series.”

Spring 2012 from Aether Apparel brings with it three new jacket styles. Above is a detail of the new “Ultralight,” a single layer microfiber jacket with pit zips and saddle seam shoulder construction. The familiar “Fall Line” takes new form in a “No Hood” version. The third new jacket is “The Breaker,” a double layer microfiber hooded shell perfect for windy spring days.

In addition to the jackets, Aether is introducing new sweats – a heavy weight zip and a classic crew neck.

Flying Pigeon Men's Bicycle

Flying Pigeon delivers this classic commuter slightly Dutch style bicycle for a fair price. Fitted for the North American market with a new saddle and bars, the men’s bicycle offers a truly relaxed ride with no sign of fad. “The silhouette may be the same as the iconic Flying Pigeon that was first unveiled more than 60 years ago, but this isn’t your grandfather’s bike.” A good look. Go out on a date on one.

feltraiger 06 selectism PROJECT NY | Feltraiger Spring 2012

Preparing for a move into a standalone store in Spring 2012, Feltraiger is showing some bold looks at PROJECT NY. Take, for example, the Animal Camo short set. For the meek at heart, there is also some sharp shirting and monochromatic layering pieces – a nice take on the hunting vest a firm favorite. Lightweight varsity jackets and anoraks fill out the range. All goods are USA made too.

Styled by Madbury Club for Selectism.

Selectism - creep-spring-2012-01

We did show this off at Capsule, so this is technically a second look. Although this is the first look at the lookbook so we’re not stretching the phrase too far. Creep continues straddling the lines between fashion, workwear and tailoring – creating something that’s akin to what your wardrobe is (or should be) like.

Take a leap, see the rest.

Studio Nucleo Presenze Part II Chair

Selectism - nucleo 01 curatedmag Studio Nucleo Presenze Part II Chair

We’re all about chairs now:

“Designed by Studio Nucleo, the Presenze collection channels the glories of nineteenth-century Baroque through minimalistic resin shapes. The furniture, which includes consoles, desks, and bedside tables, is highlighted by terrific chairs. These have great presence, and through material manage to hold the physicality of the Baroque without maintaining the style’s weight.”
