That is the beauty of duck pants: you’ll see the shitty stains but at least you are using them as they should be. Dutch denim boutique Tenue de Nîmes have teamed with English shoemaker Grenson for a third time, creating a limited run of what they call the ‘Whole cut Gibson.’ The upper of the shoe has been fashioned from a single cut of brilliant white nubuck leather, hence the name, and features no visible seams, albeit the stitched-on eyelet facings in a deep, contrasting blue. In addition to the accents provided by the tongue and panel that follows the lace track, a blue backstrap has been included down the length of the heel; should you turn over the shoe, you’ll reveal a blue hand-painted sole bearing the marks of both brands, the Grenson rose and the Tenue de Nîmes ‘cross.’ -jr

Junya has been receiving a wave of press as of late, and deservedly so. Another example of his progressive (and often flamboyant) design skill comes in the form of the Contrast Placket shirt. The shirt includes a variety of special details; a dark chambray front placket which provides a subtle contrast to the body of the garment, an inverted box pleat, houndstooth yoke/cuff lining and a cotton twill tape finishing the length of chambray. Though the various accents may sound terribly busy, they do sit well together, reaffirming Junya’s lofty spot on our collective style radar. Available at Union Los Angeles. -jr

Mark McNairy has fast became known for his expansive footwear collection, having skilfully revised a number of classic silhouettes through recent seasons.

One of his latest pieces, produced by Sanders in England, is the contrast sole chukka boot. The upper of the boot is constructed from premium, full grain Oxblood leather which sits atop a striking rubber sole in vivid yellow – the later accent now commonplace in many of McNairy’s designs. The boots offer a burst of colour which is often absent within a typical autumnal wardrobe, something a little different that allows the spirit of summer to meander on through into the cooler seasons.
