Baseline, the international typographics magazine delivers their second special “hand-made” issue. The first hand-made issue, by Sir Peter Blake, sold out in moments. The new issue, worked by Dan Cruickshank, is limited to 94 copies and features 16 pages that look to “stimulate and inspire.” Each edition is unique and overprinted on sheets from the print production of Baseline magazine.

Manchester’s Cube Gallery is hosting “Post Match,” an exhibition that mixes smoking and footie (soccer to the N.A.’s). Using cigarette packs to fold origami style jerseys, “Post Match” is an unique concept in art, sport, and smoke. Artists, Leo Fitzmaurice, developed the idea after he “noticed a wet cigarette packet on the ground in the shape of a football shirt and ten years later he is still making them and has a vast collection of over 800 hand made shirts from around the world.” Green Soccer Journal has more…

That third New York UNIQLO shop we reported on looks to be part of a bigger “pop-up” story from the brand.  A variety of UNIQLO pop-ups will be taking form to promote their new flagship on 34th St. “The pop-up UNIQLO Brand Shop located in the Flat Iron at 155 Fifth Avenue, just opened; it will be followed by a second located at 1880 Broadway, opening August 13th and then followed by a third location at 2385 Broadway opening mid-August.
