“Japanese artisti Shinobu Koizumi designed “Light in a Drawer,” inspired by fairy tales with hidden treasures and dreamy illuminations.

Each drawer is made of frosted acrylic with a wooden front facade, and the lights are installed at the back of the drawers. The plastic construction means the light can be seen peeking from around the sides of each box, even if the drawer is shut. Further playing into the whimsical ideas of surrounding light, the handles are composed of the bases of electric light bulbs.”

Fashion’s Night Out gets another hit from the KEDS and Opening Ceremony world. The toile killed it last year and their new baseball inspired “Championship Series” may do the same. Three colorways will be dropping all of which show that baseball-like stitching on the upper. Pulled from the archives and made new again.

Today, it looks as though the kit still remains an important addition to a denim shop to give a pair of jeans a unique look. Tenue de Nimes looks to have landed one in-house. CR Blog gives an extensive look at the new “look” of Diet Coke as conceived by Turner Duckworth. The design is based on a crop of the original Diet Coke branding and is currently available as a limited edition run on bottles and packaging. One interesting note is that when two cans are placed together, they read “OK.” We’re good with that.

Levi’s designer, Carl Chiara discusses process behind the brand’s new WaterLess collection.

The rumored Dyson Ball DC36 has finally debuted. The motor and and all internals are housed inside the ball of the unit, which allow the vacuum greater mobility in cornering. The new design does not take aware from the suction action of the vacuum itself. The result is a low force and easily transportable vacuum witch very few stress points. Excellent design as usual from Dyson. Should deliver in October 2011.
