We’re gonna get all music snob and say we’ve been into wearing Lou Dalton since before the likes of Liberty got on board. But we’re going to defy that stereotype and announce that we still like the stuff, but we will be pulling out older pieces – we’re not sure you can call it ‘Vintage Lou’ yet – and walking around newcomers with a knowing smirk. 03. Ghostface Killah Sues Universal

“Last month, we reported that TV composer Jack Urbont was suing Ghostface Killah because Ghost’s 2000 album Supreme Clientele allegedly unlawfully sampled “The Iron Man Theme”, which Urbont wrote for the 1960s TV show “The Marvel Super-Heroes”. At the same time as Ghost fends off that lawsuit, he’s filing one of his own. Billboard reports that Ghost is suing the Universal Music Group for unpaid royalties.” (Pitchfork)

South Korea’s Bean Pole collaborated for a second time with designer, Kim Jones. The Bean Pole Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, available in the USA exclusively through Opening Ceremony, features a full line of garments including shirts, knits, pants, and jackets. The palette remains youthful and colorful; as expected by the Bean Pole consumer. Graphics are inspired by artist, Ed Ruscha.

Not to be confused with the coffee house, the Stumptown by Danner collection of boots delivers original Danner patterns with a new modern twist for the coming season. By partnering with various designers, Danner opened up exploration in form for a re-imagining of a more simple time in their history. Taking a page from their roots in the Pacific Northwest, the Stumptown name pays homage to Portland, OR’s history in logging. The collection offers some excellent takes for the coming cold season. Worth a look.
