Ruby make luxury mobility accessories, that’s fancy helmets to you and me. Brainchild of designer Jerome Coste, after six bike related head injuries and a stint at Californian motocross brand JT Racing he turned his attention to creating helmets that were both good looking and as safe as houses. The design is based on early styles (minus the chinstrap), however the technology behind them is thoroughly modern.
Using materials commonly found in the aerospace industry, carbon fibre to be exact, the brand has been able to make something incredibly light and incredibly strong. This being a ‘luxury’ product, much attention is paid to making them look impressive too. There’s a continuing range of styles as well as the opportunity to create your own custom helmet. Collaborations with Eley Kishimoto, which we previously featured, and Karl Lagerfeld are also available. Stay safe over at Ruby.

There are few things better than a Ruby. Protective – most importantly, with incredible design, comfort and attention to detail. I’ve worn mine for a few thousand miles already. Simply stunning.
