We know, we know, you’re tired of New York Fashion Week already. But bear with us while we showcase one last collection for the day. The big news in this collection is that he’s expanded womenswear after showing off a few looks last season. Instinct Magazine reminds us that colors are choice for this Autumn. Their “Colorful Fall” editorial for September 2011 is a bold look at various garments that bring the season into full swing. Photographer, Vincent Dilio and stylist, Eric Launder, prep models Salieu Jalloh and Stephan Haurholm into form for the shoot. (sm)

Sometimes heritage brands fall through the cracks – Grenfell is one such brand. At one time it was spoken of in the same breath as Barbour but it eventually went under. It was eventually revived by a Japanese company who now sell it in Japan. So, in a nutshell, that’s why this jacket is only available in Japan. Happy proxying! (Museum Arks)

Blue de Paname shows us their Autumn 2011 collection of garments inspired by classic French workwear. “With its Autumn/Winter 2011 season, Bleu de Paname affirms its commitment regarding development of its own fabrics and materials. The rebirth of the French Moleskine by Bleu de Paname brought to a real plus in terms of finishing and brand positioning worldwide. In this line mark the brand introduced thus: le Coutil Sec, la Moleskine Française brushed or not, le Croisé BDP… All these materials have marked the golden age of French work clothes, it seemed clear to bleu de Paname to build a new story with them…”

Robert Geller’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection, shown during New York Fashion Week on September 10, looks to “explore” the male form in new ways. “Circles, squares and triangles are suggested in pieces such as rounded overcoats, oversized jackets with boxy cuts and pants that start wide at the waist and taper at the ankles. Exaggerated hats, slouchy draping and unexpected tailoring also contribute to the collection’s experimentation with form.” More casualness for Spring with a strong fashion first attitude.

N. Hoolywood showcases their Spring 2012 collection during New York Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by the title sequences first found in film back in the 1960’s. Pioneered by Saul Bass, the title sequence, of course, shares credits of key production figures and cast – usually accompanied by music. “This season evokes the essence of Bass’ representative title backs by combining solid styles like those often seen in films of the Sixties with pop textiles and prints like those found in the scenes of feature films.”

Jonathan Bartlett illustrates the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection of neckwear from Pierrepont Hicks using animal and insect mugshots to promote the looks. The line-ups are very well done and bring a humorous touch to the seriousness of neckties and bowties. Bartlett’s illustrations will also be on sale at the artist’s site in October. The collection goes on sale tomorrow.
