Stetson and Red Wing compliment one another in that American way. While the Stetson collection looks to have grown into fashion circles through the EU markets, they are seeing a strong return into the U.S.A. on the heels of the “return home” movement that looks to be sticking. Using Red Wing leathers, Stetson has developed four styles for the boot maker which include two eight-panel newsboy style caps, a trapper in sporting plaid, as well as an all leather ala Brando-style. We take a look at 45rpm’s Autumn/Winter lookbook. Always high expectations with this brand and we’re certainly not disappointed this time around. Top notch denim (of course), indigo scarves, structured and unstructured blazers, cargo pants, heavy knitwear, leather jackets and more vests then you can shake a stick at. Camo tends to divide people and we fully understand that many of you wouldn’t touch it with a barge-pole. The fear that you’ll end up looking like some sort of urban, new world order vigilante is present in all of us. However, YMC has a particular knack of making the seemingly unwearable, wearable. Various elements of military have been present in the majority of their past collections, and while this camo shirt certainly isn’t subtle, if you’re a fan of layering up it’s a great way to make friends with camouflage without entering into a serious relationship with it. This rollneck sweater is made in Nottingham by a family run firm with a 200 year history. The Yorkshire lambswool is spun, oiled and twisted and is as soft as a newborn kitten. Not one, not two, but three types of stitch are used; the moss, the two-by-one rib and plain, all with various functions based around retaining warmth, keeping the jumper flexible and making the whole thing look smart.
