The fine art of tailoring often feels like a bit of a closed off world. We’re not complaining, that’s what makes buying bespoke such a special experience. The years of training, apprenticeships and practice it takes to make a respected tailor is immense. Savile Row’s Thomas Mahon has twenty years experience in the game, having worked for some of the most respected names on the street including the legendary Anderson & Sheppard. Through his website, The English Cut, he offers a series of fascinating films shedding light on some of the traditional techniques used by himself and his peers. We won’t be picking up shears and chalk anytime soon, best left to the professionals, but take a look and prepare to be impressed.
