Roberu Leather Camera Pouch

While they refer to the soft oiled leather pouch as being made for cameras, they work as perfect walk around pouches to hold your daily essentials. The only problem would be their availability; Roberu is difficult to find outside of their home country. We still love their look. If you know of a leather pouch alternative available in Europe or North America, fill us in.

First Look | SEH Kelly Overshirt

Selectism - seh-kelly-overshirt-01

We’re all about the overshirt, especially when it’s modelled by someone who’s been taking style tips from Mikhail Gorbachev. With menswear folks now wearing all sorts of outlandish gear – or at least pretending to on their websites (no shots, don’t get sensitive) – the idea that the overshirt was once a step out of people’s comfort zones is rather quaint. But hey, today’s problems are tomorrows afterthoughts and all that. We’re not sure that’s a real phrase but it works. Take a leap to see more looks at this shirt.

Selectism - ami-waxed-jacket-01

If you don’t know by now, Ami are the French label who are here to out-APC APC. It’s a hard task but so far they’ve stepped up to the plate. Our Legacy and Norse Projects are bossing the new-APC market right now but Ami will be up there soon if they keep on making jackets like this waxed number. (Mr Porter)

Filson Japan Lookbook for Autumn/Winter 2011
Thanks to Archival Clothing for pointing us in the direction of this Filson Japan lookbook entitled The Ballad of Portraits. A tongue in cheek celebration of the trend for all things ‘wilderness’ the rather creepy looking models show off some classic Filson garments including waxed parkas, bucket hats and tin cloth pants, whilst sporting a taxidermy sheen. More after the jump.

YouTube Preview Image

Heritage Research point us in the direction of George Lucas’ action drama Red Tails, based on the story of the Tuskagee Airmen, African American pilots who fought during World War Two. Fascinating from a historical angle, please excuse us while we get a little distracted by the costumes, all the incredible flight jackets were made by the talented guys at Eastman Leather Clothing. Due out early 2012.

Sunny Sports Scarves

Sunny Sports Scarves

The Bureau recently received these rather nice scarves from Japan’s Sunny Sports. Part of their West Coast laidback livin’ theme for this season, these lightweight scarves are more decoration then heavy duty neck warmers, however the subtle flannel check pattern is a bit of a no-brainer so we’re happy to brave the cold and wrap ourselves up in these 100% cotton, Made in Japan.

First Look | R. Newbold for Barbour Capsule Collection

13 October 2011, 10.30 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

Selectism - barbour-rnewbold-collab-01

Hot on the heels of their work with Grenson, Barbour are doing another collaboration. Barbour need to be careful or they’ll get a reputation. This R. Newbold collab is made up of three pieces (a shirt, gilet and jacket) transferring R. Newbold’s love for polka dots onto the traditionalism of Barbour. The end result is blogtastical. The collection will be available at selected cool guy stores and at Paul Smith’s online site.

See the rest of the collection after the leap.
