mjolk ss2012 lookbook men 1 Mjölk Spring/Summer 2012 Mens Collection

We’re fans of the photography in the  Mjölk lookbook for Spring/Summer 2012, as we are with key garments in the collection; all of which look to offer very distinct cuts which move aware from the formed shapes of the classic silhouettes of the past few years. Expect oversized fits that may fall on your form in new manner. Check the high waist, slim leg men’s trousers are of interest, as is the track suit with its exaggerations. Much love to Mjölk on the grey wide leg shorts.

burberry scarf 01 Burberry Prorsum Patterned Scarf

Big respect to Burberry Prorsum for being the first to answer our prayers for a Cliff Huxtable inspired scarf. Yeah, biggie could rock those famous jumpers but we haven’t all earned the necessary rap don status to follow suit. A cotton, merino, cashmere mix, Made in Italy, it’s spirit straight out of an 80s Brooklyn brownstone. Find it at Mr Porter.

camper pavilion 01 Camper Pavilion by Shigeru Ban

Camper, refusing to stick to comfortable foot wear, have dipped their toes into yet another pool. This time they turn to Japanese architect Shigeru Ban to create a pavilion in association with the Volvo Ocean race. “This circular, visually airy structure is open on all sides and characterized by its imposing colonnade of recycled paper tubes. It is designed to be assembled and dismantled easily and quickly in order to travel to marinas around the world where the yacht ports are located along the race.” Ban has worked on projects far and wide, specialising in paper based structures, he was featured in Time Magazines 21st century innovators in the field of architecture and design. Imagining Housing For Today

01. 100 Greatest Dance Records (Ever)

#essential A very open history of dance music from 1960 through present day. Beyond recommended. (djhistory)

02. BBC One In The Jungle Archive – Jungle/Drum n Bass

#essential A highly influential show on the BBC which ran from 1994 – 1999. Radio recorded cassettes of this show circulated well beyond the broadcast range of United Kingdom. I still have some.  Everyone represented: Nicky Blackmarket, Adam F, Peshay, Shy FX. #ridiculous (1inthejungle)

03. Imagining Housing For Today

“Serious architecture is another way to describe Bronx Park East. It is a single-room occupancy residence, an S.R.O., built to house tenants who had been homeless. Sunny, with modest kitchens and full bathrooms, its apartments are smaller (around 285 square feet) than otherwise legally permitted for studios in New York because different rules apply to housing for social service clients. The building has a handsomely proportioned facade, spacious public rooms and light-filled hallways, none of it standard for an S.R.O.” (newyorktimes)

04. Japanese Artist Creates Edible Headpieces Out of Raw Veggies and Flowers

“They say you are what you eat, but should you also wear what you eat too – on your head? That’s what Japanese artist”  (inhabitant)
