Hodinkee gives us the details on the commemorative Royal Oak which sports the original issue 39mm casing size against a new platinum finish and openworked dial. The oscillating weight inside the Audemar Pigeut watch is made from 22-carat gold. 40 total units of the Royal Oak watch will arrive in 2012.

The new Armani Hotel in Milan was opened for business yesterday with an Armani-proper gala to celebrate the event. The joint venture between Giorgio Armani and Dubai’s Emaar Properties is their second property in the Italian city, located in Milan’s couture district. 95 guestrooms and suites are available inside the new structure which mixes architecture of new and old.  Those heading to Pitti Uomo this coming January may well consider staying at the new Armani Hotel.

Months after the tsunami disaster in Japan, the clean-up and relief effort is still on-going. Help is still needed in the region and it continues to rebuild and try to save the area from further human and environmental consequences.
