01. Gallery of Every Apple Store Facade

Beautiful images or each and every Apple Store since they opened their first in 2001. (thomashpark)

02. Famous Magazines’ First Covers

“In celebration of their 154th anniversary, our friends at The Atlantic shared a photo of their first cover, from November 1857. The difference between that image and the very different design the magazine is rocking these days sparked our curiosity about what some of today’s best-loved and most widely read publications looked like in their infancy. After the jump, we’ve rounded up debut covers of everything from The New Yorker to Vogue to Spin. We have to admit, some of them really surprised us” (flavorwire)

03. The 50 Greatest Boxing Outfits

“Professional boxing is not only about vicious combinations, effective defense, and brutal KOs. There’s a high level of pride to go along with the pageantry when two combatants make their way to the squared circle. It’s reflected in the specially tailored garments that they wear. Prizefighting is a combat sport, sure, but it’s also got a show business side to it. And part of delivering that entertainment is in the sometimes flashy, sometimes immaculate robe and trunks boxers rock in the ring.” (complex)

04. The 5 Best Videos Of The Week

“Not the most inspiring set of videos this week. Work harder, everyone! There were a few good ones, though, and we’ve got them listed below.” (stereogum)

Porter for Isaora Backpack - Proceeds Benefit Japan Red Cross

Months after the tsunami disaster in Japan, the clean-up and relief effort is still on-going. Help is still needed in the region and it continues to rebuild and try to save the area from further human and environmental consequences. Isaora does its part with help of Porter through the release of their Poirer Backpack. Designed by Camille Poirier in 1882, the pack is considered the model for all modern day backpacks. Originally used by the outdoorsmen and women, the Poirier design has been updated for modern times. You’ll find additions such as the iPod pouch and felt padding there to keep your electronics safe. Proceeds from the sales of the Porter for Isaora backpack benefit the Japanese Red Cross.

If you don’t know, ‘Bring colour to life’ is the new ad campaign from Pixma. Now they’ve gone behind the scenes to show off just how it all happened. Fascinating images here. We don’t usually like behind the scenes but if they all looked like this we’d be big fans.

Silent Ventures Pop-Up Store

Selectism - silent-ventures-01

We know what you’re thinking ‘another pop-up store? Is this How to Make it in America?’. Without sounding too Al Green, we’re tired of being tired – especially when it comes to things like pop up shops. And, more importantly, Silent Ventures is an interesting brand. Based on American sportswear (but not as tied to it as other brands out there) it’s good enough quirk to keep us interested whilst keeping things wearable. Open from today to the 17th at 54 Rivington Street, London EC2A.

What are you waiting for? jump down and get some pictures for your tumblr.

Selectism - Matthew-Miller-Studio-Visit-01

This week we caught up with British menswear designer Matthew Miller in his studio. Fresh from showing at London fashion week, we caught him in his studio/flat to get an even closer look at his work. We also saw Matthew’s marvellous movember moustache, which is coming along nicely. (Photography: Ross Trevail)
