When we look at the accessibility of the products that get shine on Selectism, we may occasionally forget that while everyone can see these goods online, holding them in very hand may not be that easy to some. So it is important to reference goods as they deliver in special editions to some of the wide retail chains across the U.S.A – especially when they rival the look and durability of Red Wing’s found in any men’s boutique.
The Red Wing Heritage 4563 Boot is a prime example. The 8-inch farmer’s boot is based on one of the early 1919 models – carries the white Red Wing sole found on all their farmer boots. Find it at Nordstrom.

The store is Nordstrom, not ‘Nordstroms’
I think you transposed some letters: it’s a sole for framers, not farmers. There’s no heel edge to catch on rafters and other construction items underfoot. I’m an insurance underwriter for the construction industry and we require such soles for “framers” on jobsites (and our company has required these types of flat soles for the construction industry for almost 100 years). “Farmers” actually need a true heel when walking in mud and dirt, otherwise, they’d slip. “Framers” do not want a heel.
These Red Wing Heritage boots really are unlike any new boot or shoe that I’ve seen in a long time. Seeing a new version makes me feel a little old! And I’m not too sure that I like that fact in the least. Also looks like a well-made boot and I love the color.
I clicked on the Nordstrom site but they aren’t available online. Called their Garden State Plaza location (201)843-1122 and they shipped them to me for free. Gotta love Nordstrom. Can’t wait to break these in!
