More Autumn/Winter 2012 previews; the latest from the Tricker’s brand of footwear. The leather as well as colors may be familiar, as are the shapes, but pay close attention to new applications in pattern. The formal wingtip received a fresh application on the toe cap… we’d love to know your thoughts on this and the collection as a whole… again, just a preview. We’ll show a more complete look at the collection sometime this summer.

The two shoes in the main picture seem to have a leather “gear change protector” across the toe area, a popular feature on some of the older motorcycle boots.
as soon as i saw these i instantly recognized the additional patch of leather at the toe box as a copy of oh so many motorcycle boots – which is fine and all, but this is not an original thought or design. on motorcycle boots that additional patch of leather is to improve the wear and tear of the leather as you shift through your gears. on these boots, i’m not sure what the purpose is, especially since i would never wear these while riding.
Yuck! I do not like the patchwork look at all. Everyonce in a while, this idea comes rolling through and I see it discarded and passed on very quickly. It reminds me of the multicolored velvet styles in clothing in the ’90s. It just makes me think of left over scraps of leather being used to make a shoe, in the attempt to get every dollar out of you.
We’ll see these at 80% off very soon.
These are fantastic, especially in the monochrome combos. I like the play on the classic/biker hybrid. The ones with different colours of suede may be a bit of an overkill, but still very forward looking.

Fantastic these look awesome. I’ve been looking for some vintage boots with this feature for ages.
