The gang over at Band of Outsiders had a good idea for the Academy Awards (and, it would seem, the clout to pull it together). They’ve sent a list of select nominees (Alexander Payne, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Gary Oldman, Jonah Hill and Woody Allen) a little care package with a clip-on bow tie and fortune cookie.
If any of these men are even remotely superstitious the fortune inside the cookie—”He who wears Band of Outsiders bow tie wins important award.”—could send them reeling in either direction. We do, however, really like the image of Woody Allen wearing his at home while playing clarinet during the awards show.
