One of the latest books from Phaidon, The Future of Architecture. Since 1889, is an up-to-date, comprehensive look at the architecture of the twentieth century. Jean-Louis Choen, himself an authority on architecture and urbanism, authors book to include homages to Wright, Le Corbusier, and Mies, while highlighting local regional work often overlooked by other reviews of the century’s architecture.

Readers will find photographs of Algerian government building from the 1930’s as well as highlights from the Midwest United States, Latin America and beyond.Those looking for a fresh view on twentieth century architecture along with new enthusiasts will appreciate this Phaidon’s architecture reference book.

With spring fashion comes a whole host of actors. At least that’s the approach taken by T Magazine for their Spring Men’s Fashion Issue. Cover boy Dustin Hoffman discusses a career that certainly has not sucked, Paul Dano wears a pajama shirt, and Willem Defoe gets reflective on his reflection.

What else? Gerard Butler has a new surfing movie on its way and director Curtis Hanson talks about it. Also, grooming products inspired by cocktails, packing tips, some Italian suits, a photo essay from the sketchy capital of Papua New Guinea, a profile of German-born designer Siki Im and the novel idea of powerful pens like Martin Amis and Richard Ford modeling some of the season’s snappiest shirts.

We shared Katy Perry’s March 2012 Interview Magazine and commented on how exceptional the pop-star looked. We still feel this way after seeing the editorial shoots from inside the issue. Photographer Mikael Jansson simply shines in his work, while keeping the spread incredibly tasteful and respectful.

Another Man mag highlights the start of Paris Fashion week (womenswear) with a special edition cover featuring Kate Moss. Another Man creative director Alister Mackie commissioned Sarah Burton (Alexander McQueen) to design the cover garments for Ms. Moss who poses topless for the cover. Photographer, Nick Knight, takes credit for the shoot.

For the launch of It’s Nice That Issue #8, they ventured into the Bloomsbury studio of designer, Ray O’Meara – the man responsible for the new look of It’s Nice That magazine. We get a look inside the forthcoming issue as well as some insight from the designer. More inside It’s Nice That as we get them.

We showcase this look at the March 2012 issue of Interview Magazine not for Ms. Perry alone, who is the cover star, but for the photography of Mikael Jansson who transformed the singer into a stunning beauty in a way we have never noticed.  She is absolutely beautiful in a new way here.

Moving on, inside the March issue of Interview,  Ms. Perry sits down with comedian Kristen Wiig (of SNL and web fame for this incredible line-art homepage) for a heart to heart. This will be an interesting read…

Another great read in the cycling genre, UK’s  The Ride Journal is a not for profit situation (all cash goes straight to charity) that aims to present worldwide bike culture in a visually appealing and meaningful way. “The idea was to create a journal filled with personal stories. We know that most people who share our obsession with bikes don’t want to be pigeon-holed as roadies, freeriders, track racers, BMXers, XC riders or even commuters. Berlin’s Mono.Klutur magazine is a common pickup of mine when visiting the great city (Do You Read Me?). An interview magazine with major twists, Mono-Kultur focuses on a topic set of person for each issue allowing for a deep and expansive view into the subject/matter. Issue #30 is a helluva an issue which features one of my favorite illustrators and comic artists, Chris Ware. Tucked away inside the pages (many of them full blown four-page foldouts!) readers will find both final work by the artist as well as some very famous sketches that lead to the cover work of his Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth graphic novel (every household needs a copy – essential).

A unique collaboration of sorts between the artsy Garage Magazine and Parisian shopping mecca Colette. To celebrate the release of their second issue, the mag’s cover art—a gay marriage between pregnant Harry The Hare and doting Frederic The Fox inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s “Homosexual Wedding”—has been recreated on one of the shop’s main windows.
