Diane von Fürstenberg for Diet Coke Limited Edition Bottles

Diane von Fürstenberg for Diet Coke Limited Edition Bottles

In a bit of news that almost makes us want to drink some Diet Coke, fashion icon Diane von Fürstenberg lends her sensibilities to the low-calories soda for some bottle wraps that celebrate her knack for moving prints.

Following in the footsteps of old Karl Lagerfeld—who designed a series of bottles last last year (and who supposedly dropped 90 pounds in 2001 by drinking only Diet Coke and eating steamed vegetables)—Fürstenberg’s collector’s edition comes with four bottles and is priced at a bubbly $30. One-hundred-percent of the proceeds go to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health in support of The Heart Truth program for women’s heart health research. The beverage inside still tastes like melted Styrofoam.

snuff 1 Feature | Snuff All the Cool 18th Century Kids Are Doing it

The history and current day legacy of snuff is one not often spoken about. Here in the USA, I have yet to meet someone who indulges in the age old habit of snuff, but lucky for us, Martin Pilkington across the pond knew exactly where to go to get an inside look at the current day “popularity” of snuff, the paraphernalia around the habit, as well as a little of its dark side. Yes, snuff.

in caffeine we trust poster5 In Caffeine We Trust Poster Track your Coffee Intake

Boozers of the bean may not need to be reminded of their coffee intake as strongly as the folks at C5 would like you to, but the idea is an interesting one. Their new 18×24 poster work, “In Caffeine We Trust” outlines a month’s worth of days to fill in and track coffee as it enters and feeds you. “The included set of instructions outline a few calculations to analyze personal consumption trends.” A nice gift, but I not need be reminded… Find it online at C5.

Selectism - saint-beer-01

The heritage trend does have some good points – the main one being that people are putting stock into locally made produce again. Especially when that produce is beer, something everyone can get behind, trend or no trend. Saint is a new beer that’s made in London and tastes prettttaay, pretttaaaay good. Take a leap to see some images of it in production. (Saint)
