Ralph Lauren is just an impressive company and brand. They have there up and downs and sometimes we cannot see the brand anymore, but the times where we are excited about something they do, always come back, usually the minute we enter one of the more prominent flagship store in Milan, NYC or London. Polo is one of the few brands, that created their very own world.

This new Polo Collectors Trunk fits that world perfectively. Who does not own or has owned at a certain point in time a Ralph Lauren polo shirt?! And they are still worth looking into. Now the brand has comes out with this trunk, for the 4th anniversary of the brand. Handcrafted in a sleek translucent silhouette with saddle leather straps and fitted with a unique silver plaque engraved with an edition number, each trunk is offered with 40 limited edition embroidered polo shirts.

The first time Bang & Olufsen teamed up on a mobile phone early last year and the outcome was a bit disappointing we thought when it was released. Now the two power players got together again and the outcome is something much better – the Serenata phone. Most amazing is the audio technology, you can slide out the speaker and have an impressive bass quality on the phone. The looks are also 100% Bang & Olufsen – stylish, modern but also timeless.

Bang & Olufsen has after years finally released their next generation MP3 player. The first one of course also looked great, but had no screen, was really heavy and also not a lot of capacity.

The Beosound 6 now comes with 4GB of disk space and a color screen. Something that always impressed us with the Scandinavian brand was the ability to create something that is both technically and from a design standpoint timeless. You could buy a B & O stereo and literally have it for 10 years standing at home and it would still look cutting edge. The times have changed a little, everything is moving faster, but nevertheless they still do a great job in terms of design. In terms of technology we are not sure they can compete with the iPod or even the Microsoft Zune.

It’s a different decision that you have to make. If you are willing to take cuts in the technology department, you can have a player that you will see on nobody else, and as we all know, that is worth a lot!

A great present and in general piece, a good one to own. We are big denim fans and cannot repeat enough how important it is to own a good pair. What many people out there still don’t understand is, that if you have one or two really good pairs, you do not need to buy them all the time. So, this kit seems perfect to get some old ones repaired. But we have never tried out working on denim, with this kit it is certainly something we are looking forward to.

We here at Selectism are huge Vitra fans. Should you ever make it to central Europe, you have to visit their offices and museum, it’s an unbelievable campus, really inspiring.

The latest interesting product release by the brand that we came across, are a series of George Nelson clocks. George Nelson was one of the founders of American modernism along with Charles and Ray Eames (which probably designed the nicest chairs to ever surface this planet!).

Nokia will soon be releasing their latest high end phones, the 8800 Arte Series. Coming in at prices between 1k-2k USD, they are not cheap. With a 2-inch display, 3.2 megapixel camera and 1 GB of memory, this fancy device even sports an anti-fingerprint coating to keep it looking sharp. Complete with a leather pouch and noise-canceling bluetooth, it might actually be worth its money. In our opinion its the kind of phone for people that want something stylish and something for the longterm.

For the second time Undefeated gets together with Spalding to collaborate on a basketball. The first one came in black, this time they present a white one with the Spalding and Undefeated logo in gold.

Friday, November 9th, Paper Magazine will open a 24hour store in Los Angeles and invited their favorite brands to participate in the store. Undefeated is one of those brands and will release this Spalding collaboration basketball at the 24hour Paper Store, and only there, on Friday at 6pm.
