Morgan comes forward with their “Palladium.” A new bar is set, literally, as each card is “minted out of palladium and 23k gold and laser engraved with the cardholder special details.” Some place the value on the card alone at over $1000 based on mineral pricing alone.

The J.P. Morgan Palladium VISA comes with a 57 page benefits book that covers it all. The obvious amenities at airports, concierge, insurance, roadside, priority pass are all there. On Monday May 2, 2011, Dockers will announce the winners of their $100,000 “Wear the Pants” project.

The contest encourages men to take action on a personal dream as yet unrealized. Five finalists have been selected – each with a distinct desire and project. Joshua Kuch, for example, plans to open a microbrewery in Tallahassee, Florida if he claims victory. In contrast, Ryland King of Goleta, California (pictured above) aims to expand his youth driven nonprofit which empowers children to become stewards of the environment.

This weekend I was able to be apart of history. The 2nd Annual “Inspiration” event was held at the Queen Mary Ship in Long Beach, California. The entire event was put on by Rin Tanaka and his team. Rin Tanaka is a clothing historian and artist who’s responsible for the My Freedamn! book series. The event consisted of fashion brands, surf board companies, vintage vendors, and musicians. The 2-day expo showed many popular brands like Levi’s, Wrangler and Lewis Leathers to name a few. Of the brands represented, I was able to see a couple that were interesting enough to show.

After having worked with Missoni previously, Italian water brand San Pellegrino has now teamed up with Bulgari on a limited edition bottle. The bottle celebrates the 125th anniversary of the luxury jewelry brand. The bottle is already available from colette.
