End Clothing return with more Tricker’s action. The Burnished toe cap brogue and boot for the country gent in need of something smart. The shoe, made on a 4444 last, is built on a Dainite sole unit and features the signature End heel pull tab. The boot is created on a 4497s last which they tell us is a rarity for Trickers, with the pattern based on the Stow model and again complete with Dainite sole and heel tab. That’s right… unicorn leather. The new Oi Polloi Clarks Wallabees use what is known as “unicorn leather” – “the name given to elk hides by the specialist tannery tasked with producing the raw materials.” Elk and deer hides are super supple and these Clarks will be no exception. Choose from two colorways – dijon and wasabi – both of which may be some of best we have seen in 2012 so far. The green hue (wasabi) elk leather on the Wallabee is impressive.

The following is the truth. Italy’s Giacometti brothers’ Marmolada boot line is simply the best mountaineering boot we have set out eyes on. We showed an ostrich leather version last year, but seeing them through photography tells very little of the story behind a company that has been doing it for some time (under Walles Calzaturificio). They own their factory and produce footwear for countless brands. They do what they do and do not give a shit about internet hype.

The Marmolada mountaineering line is extraordinary for their builds and construction. Honestly, it is the first boot in 1000 euro price range which I understand. Check the gallery and find purple gator skin,tumble washed white boot – the first boot model they ever produced as well as countless variations in leather and skins. Yes, I am gushingly in love with Giacometti Marmolada.

ts(s) is one of the more accessible Japanese lines on the market. They distribute throughout Europe as well as in North America. For those new to the line, try to get your hands on some of the garments as they come down to touch and fit (don’t they all). Wools work well throughout the collection including on their contrasting wingtip boots, which will work for many. The yarn work in the wool jackets are choice as well.

Wingtips come in all forms. Thom Browne does his with signature stripes; this pair on the sole. The real win on this pair of Browne’s is the pebbled leather upper. It is pretty damn beautiful in person. The price-tag is high but in some manner, you know what you are buying into. SOTO has them.

Trolling over on Por Vocacao, we discover images of footwear coming from the Margiela line for Autumn Winter 2012. Some interesting specimens in the collection including a series of all-rubber shoes (desert boot and all) which we will need to hold in hand to experience. The snakeskins look proper and we’re excited to see the “return” of the splatter paints. Much more in our gallery.

PROJECT recaps their New York City men’s show with a great video that helps remind people that the traditional fashion tradeshow experience is changing for the better. Worth a viewing of course. Well done, guys.

RFW, formerly Rhythm Footwear, returns with a wide spread of sneakers for Spring/Summer 2012. I’m caught up on two models under the name Sandwich Hi Standard. I think it’s the play on the vulcanization and the overlap on paneling found on the upper. Super clean and well done.

Oak Street Bootmakers returns with a new Field Boot that while being a very different design from their past models, is similar to many options on the market today. What may set it apart is the leather and canvas used: Horween chromexcel leather paired it with American sourced waxed canvas. They’re made in Maine and look to follow the field and stream aesthetic which everyone still seems to love. Available now for $342.

The all-winter, all-wet weather boot features innovative waterproof leather which we take to mean treated against a canvas upper. It comes dow to form, function, looks, and usability.
