We’re not usually fans of Springcourt’s special editions, but this one is special enough to  make it onto our radar.

The reason we like these is because they’re just enough of a twist to make these worthwhile whilst not ruining what makes Springcourts great. They also come with spare laces, which is always nice. These aren’t available on the Springcourt USA site, but the French site has an english translation and overseas shipping, so you’ll be alright. (Springcourt)

We’ve managed to get a very sneaky peek at a couple of sneakers from Alexander McQueen’s SS10 collection, which were part of their presentation from Paris last week. The dandified trainers are a sneaker version of an oxford shape-wise, using the laceless style that’s been growing in popularity.

After the leap you can see the paint splattered version of the sneaker and we’ll have more McQueen sneak peeks later on this week.

Here’s a banger from Neil Barrett’s Spring/Summer 09 footwear collection (which we covered a while back). This dove grey leather baseball high-top is finished in suede leather with patent leather accents and sole. The lacelocks pull from the outdoor boot with clip in fasteners. They’re made in Italy and are one of my favorite high-tops of the season. Well done. (forward)

Big fan of this sneaker from Glamb. The Floyd sits on a boot like sole usually found on the Red Wing like monsters. Since I do not golf nor am a Scotsman, I’ll have to remove the fringe. Regardless, it’s a beauty in white leather. Wear it out to a nice grimy joint for some natural wear in and scuffing. (wiseark)

You can always rely on Pierre Hardy to make great high tops. The former Dior footwear creative director has been going since 2002 in the men’s side of things, offically starting the high top collection back in 2006. Three years on and the fashion landscape has changed immeasurably. High tops have moved from diversive footwear to staple, so the dilemma now is not how to make them high-end, but rather how to make them feel like new.

As a result of this, we’re noticing more experimentation in the materials used, and in Hardy’s case more luxurious materials, while the silhouette remains the same. For example, the versions pictured above are suede with patent lining while below the leap you can see various uses of calf leather and gold.

My favorite pair of slip-on sneakers at the moment come from Zuriick with their Ake model. The green vulcanized sole against the black canvas upper is simply on point and pricepoint is pretty damn good too. A great look for the Summer. Available now from Need Supply Co. for 55$US. You have to give it to the shoe upstart brand, Noodles, for doing and describing things as they do. Their brand’s credo “Cheap, tasty and useful. Just like noodles!” They seem to be right on the money with their Sampan Rig model of boat inspired sneakers which are simple and to the point. Now, they make no secret the fact that their shoes are produced in China. As they mentioned, “they’re proud of it… the chinese have always been best when it comes to noodles.”

There’s no shortage of good canvas trainers out there at the moment - everyone from Feiyue to Springcourt have their own version. But we don’t think we’ve seen any quite as clean as these Adidas ones. If the likes of Superga and Springcourt are too fancy for you, these should be right up your alley. Add in the fact that they’re only £45 and you’ve really got no excuse not to buy a pair. Get these from End.

I can’t get enough of the Spring Court B2 sneakers. Simply one of the most comfortable hi-top sneaker on the market. Don’t believe me? Slip a pair on and tell me that the airsole is not the first thing you notice about these perforated beauties. Killer fit and they look great. Classic and timeless.

We’ve shown two previews of Narrative’s AW09 collection (here and here), so we feel it’s only right that we now show the full collection. We’ve been fans of Narrative’s collections for a good while now and with collections as strong as this, that’s set to continue. As usual, the range features every shoe you could possibly think of, from desert boots to shark sole oxfords. We hate to use cliches, but there really is something for everyone in this collection. We’ll also have a Q&A coming with with Creative Director Scott Emerson, so keep an eye out for that later on today.
