As long time readers know, we love a bit of Springcourt. However, they do have a bad habit of sticking the more interesting pieces into their womens line and leaving us guys with footwear that looks washed out and depleted. This season they’ve had a bit more fun with the mens side of things, making this woollen number. Now if they’ll just make their floral trainers in bigger sizes…..(Springcourt)

We’re all about inclusion here. What we mean by that is we love both high and low, designer and ‘authentic’. We’ve started to notice some reverse elitism against designer brands doing footwear but hey, if it’s done well, we’re on board. It’s all clothing at the end of the day. And who can say no to good looking pair of chukkas? (Tres Bien)

We like Jack Purcell’s but we hate their insoles. So, you can imagine the quandary we’re in (yes, it is a quandary these problems matter) when a new version of the trainer comes out. Especially when they’re in a handsome burgundy leather. Actually, we might have been a tad dramatic a couple of sentences ago – we’d just put different insoles in them. (Crooked Tongues)

SeaVees are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps by making these pilmsolls. A portion of the money for each shoe is donated to the Peace Corps and it’s available at J.Crew and SeaVees online store. Most importantly, it has that Larry David swag everyone needs in their life. Founded in 2009, Mors is based in the UK and manufactures handmade shoes in Europe. The brand is run by Jonathan Morss.

Where are you from?

UK.

How did you start?

I was a shoe designer for a big sports brand. I got made redundant, so I decided to start my own thing.

What are the key features of your brand?

The shoes are handmade in Europe. I use really small factories. You can see the hand of the maker, where the patterns have been cut. All the personal details are there. I tend to use Italian leathers and some elk leather as well.

What’s it like being part of PROJECT 10?

It’s been great to meet other people and brands in similar situations. Seeing their products and hearing their ideas is terrific. Obviously, it also helps with the buyers because of the creditability of both Selectism and PROJECT. It has allowed us to be in a show we might otherwise not be part of.

Finally, what is your favorite thing about Vegas?

Seeing the variety of people here. It is an interesting cross section of society. It is certainly an interesting place.

Our mate KVA’s latest collection has just fell into stores and here’s our pick of the bunch. It’s the sort of trainer that’ll scare off the nu-mens style aficionado out there but we kinda like a trainer that looks like it could’ve come from outer space. There’s far too much emphasis on getting it right in style, take a chance and look ridiculous sometimes. You can always take the clothes off. (The Corner)

These aren’t shoes (not unless you’re the kind of person who calls trainers/sneakers shoes) but they’re footwear and we wear trainers as much as we wear shoes round here. Fujiwara’s not involved in these although you can scribble his name on the sole to try and fool onlookers. We’re not saying it’ll work but you can try. (End)

AHTE. No, we’re not misspelling hate, that stands for ‘all Harris Tweed everything’ – a cause we can all get behind in this day and age. It’s certainly a cause F-Troupe believe, as they’ve released a tweed heavy range for this autumn, which includes these lovely Chukka boots.

We love a bit of leopard, especially when it’s applied to our footwear. It can be a bit hit or miss elsewhere but some leopard print on the feet is a timeless classic as far as we’re concerned. You might even call it a staple. So staple out your wardrobe with these chukkas. (LN-CC)
