oki ni interview Buck | Interview with Oki Nis creative director

Buck have an interesting interview with John Skelton, creative director of Oki-Ni.com. In the interview he talks favourite designers and up and coming labels for SS09, which includes Diet Butcher Slim Skin, a brand who rival Edifice in the ‘hard to find outside of Japan’ stakes.

When asked about menswear at the moment, Skelton replied; “I feel that there is going to be a real return to the independent retail mentality of old, where small/independent stores will make their money by offering something different. The biggest problem is that all of the talent gets over looked as it is deemed to risky to invest in something so young, new and maybe a little off the wall by the buyers”. sales assistants Men.Style | Desperate sales assistants

In the article, they have three different stories, although some readers have told their own stories of being accosted in London’s Lanvin & Dolce & Gabbana stores respectively. This is clearly one area where online shopping will always have the advantage. Read the full article over at men.style.
