The line, which takes a touch of a departure from the last with their take on a mesh material against backpacks and duffles. No doubt this relationship will continue to output successful collections.

Some looks into the Spring 2009 runway collection from Dolce & Gabbana. As Tim Blanks of men.style puts it "In the end, Gabbana’s doubt was needless. What he and Domenico Dolce managed to serve up was the most sophisticated version yet of the casual/formal hybrid that is the 21st century’s contribution to menswear. And the pajama theme underscored Dolce & Gabbana’s new mantra: comfort."

As usual, men.style provides some great gallery views of the Paris Spring 09 shows. Viktor & Rolf’s runway for spring 09 was a great talking point, As Tim Blanks points out, "V&R’s latest idea was Hawaii in the fifties, a time when they felt people had a natural elegance. That wasn’t precisely the quality that their bamboo-print shirts, tiki-mask motifs, and faux wood-grain jacquards conveyed, but at least there was a degree of accessibility in such kitschery…"

Feels like we just finished Spring and here we are with the 2009 previews. Woolrich Woolen Mills; one of the big up and comers of 2008 brings us some previews of their spring/summer 2009 collection stright from Milan. What was classic to the original heritage looks of Woolrich’s past has taken a slight turn to the progressive. Instead of laying down to the past, we’re looking at something forward and thoughtful.

Style Dash is reporting that New York’s Loden Dager plans on showing their Spring/Summer 09 in Pairs this coming season. With more and more houses doing first look showcases in Europe, one could assume that the depreciating dollar and well valued Euro are making this decision easier for most. Alexander Galan of Loden Dager explains to SD, "Paris is the capitol of fashion. So for a young, men’s wear designer from New York, going to Paris is a good way to cut your teeth and learn, early on, what the big F-word really means. … Paris is for dreamers. We’re presenting our full spring/summer ‘09 collection there, in a salon setting, and then plan to stage a show during New York Fashion Week in September more for press."

Obedient Sons Fall/Winter 2008/09 collection is one that Tim Blanks from Men.Style describes as "classics twisted." Expect tweeds, sheen, and more from this Obedient Sons this fall.
