A video from photographer and filmaker Donald Milne, part of 6876’s continuing project with Rohan, an outdoor gear company founded in Yorkshire. The range is made of the most simple pieces; shirts, anoraks, pullovers – all with the individual touches you’d expect from 6876. Spring/Summer 2012 available for your perusal over here. This video is a bit of a thinker, we won’t say too much, click on and see what resulted from the meeting of these three minds.

6876 are calling this a ‘technical Harrington’, if this was any other brand we may just roll our eyes but this mash-up is safe in Kenneth McKenzie’s hands. A boxy fit,  65% polyester and 35% cotton teflon coated fabric, this jacket is water repellent with a technical mesh lining. A neat funnel neck is zipped up with black oxidised Lampo zips and you have your choice of ways in with the double entry pockets. A smart piece that mixes a little of the old with a little of the new. Find it here.

We spoke about this collab briefly in our feature on Kenneth MacKenzie last week and here’s the results. The 6876/Fred Perry collab was the result of some mining through the archives of 6876, bringing back some of their greatest hits, so to speak, alongside some original creations. One from the archives, this car coat has all those little things we appreciate – handwarmer pockets with button tab closure, concealed superlampo zip placket – you know, that kind of thing. A joint effort from two brands that seem like old friends. Simple, British, easy to wear, sitting somewhere between classic and modern, the ten piece collection draws on the basic shapes and cuts present in both 6876 and Fred Perry. Short and long sleeved shirts in corduroy and chambray, placket front polos, lambswool and merino knitwear and a British Millerain car coat. A modern take on the oxford from 6876. The Borland gives us a preview of what’s to come from Kenneth McKenzie’s 6876 Japan only collection due out next year. A super simple shirt, the only concession to off-beat detail comes in the form of breast pockets featuring entry guards as opposed to your usual button down. 100% cotton, produced in the United Kingdom. Tech on tech on tech. That’s the basis of 6876’s collaboration with Rohan, a Yorkshire based technical wear company. They’ve combined the best of both of their worlds, marrying 6876’s design skills with the knowledge Rohan have to create a small capsule line of goods. There’s plenty more shots after the leap and we expand further on this line in our interview with 6876’s Kenneth McKenzie, which will be on the site on Monday.

Working with menswear store Scene, 6876 have come out with this exclusive version of the Capandula jacket. We know what you’re thinking ‘another waxed jacket?’ but this one is done by 6876, who know what they’re doing (as we’ll explain further in a feature we have planned). Put it like this: they did Tricker’s collabs back when you thought Junya Watanabe was the master from Karate Kid. (6876)

6876 add a couple of new member to their clothing family with these shirts. The Conner shirt comes in a check and stripe pattern and, for reasons of steeziness, we’ve decided to focus on this striped number. Striped shirts are one of those deceptively simple items that can still go very wrong – no one wants to veer into those awful striped ‘club’ shirts that everyone wore a few years back – so it’s nice to see it done right. It’s also got all the detail goodness 6876 are known for – back yoke seams, taped shoulders – the whole shebang. (6876)

Here’s one of those rare collabs that actually serve a useful purpose. 6876 teamed up with Welsh brand ArcEnd for this Ventile jacket. As expected with 6876 it’s one for the detail lovers, here’s the science bit: 200 gram ventile, Ykk reverse coil zips and either hand crafted natural birch or custom made re-used leather cord pullers. Suffice to say, it’s good for those rainy days. (6876)
