Veja continue to do good things with accessories. This simple ‘Cabas’ tote is a favourite. Here in red and also available in tan, a piece made in collaboration with designer Regina Dabdab, it also comes with a handy removable wallet. The collection includes smaller wallets, credit card holders and coin purses in a range of earth tones with everything kept minimal and unfussy.

Veja explain; “The capsule collection introduces ‘Soleta’, a new premium leather which is waxed and polished revealing a mottled finish. All leather used in Veja’s bags and accessories is ecologically tanned. Contrary to most leathers that are processed with heavy metals, it is chrome-free tanned, using acacia tree extract. This helps to reduce
water pollution.”

Nicholas Hurtado and Andrés Niño “wanted a label with a strong focus on design, top quality materials and accurate craftsmanship”. Ipad cases, totes, messenger bags and backpacks, they describe “We create sophisticated, cleverly designed and refined products, yet durable and convenient for the present urban needs. All of our products are remarkably crafted by master artisans in Bogotá, Colombia.” The Significant Other tells us more.

Fieldcandy Tents

We’ll be honest, we’re not that into tents. Not because we’re uppity or anything, we’ve just gotten bored of camping at festivals. But if we were to get back into that sort of thing, we’d do it in one of these Fieldcandy tents. We’re having trouble picking one favourite, but this book version gets our vote for now. And losing your tent isn’t a worry when it’s the only one in a field of thousands that looks like a giant sized book. (Fubiz)

There’s a shedload of ties out there but a lot of the new ties available are, shall we say, a little unsuitable for the sort of places where you’ll wear a tie. You find us the office where floral ties are encouraged and we’ll find you, ermmm, something that also doesn’t exist. A plain navy knitted tie will however will always be in style. Sorry about that last sentence, we were starting to sound like one of those classic menswear sites. Made in the U.K. from 100% silk. Garbstore has them.

CUAP for Duke iPhone Case

We’re always on the lookout for an iPhone case, so getting one shot by CUAP is always gonna be up our alley. Sergei Sviatchenko has collaborated with leather goods company Duke on these five cases. Limited to 25 pieces worldwide, one’s made from calf leather and the other four are from watersnake leather. We like the snake versions ourselves. It’s a real shame expensive shoe companies don’t do perfumes. That’s one of our oddest starting sentences, but bear with us. As we all know, perfumes are the gateway drug into a brand. There’s no equivalent in men’s shoes for that, except for something like this wax. Get this and keep it in your living room, telling people your cordovan Aldens are getting repaired. It’s the new millennium version of ‘my Ferrarri’s in the garage’. Browns has it.
