Luxury house, Bottega Veneta launched their INITIALS program during Salone del Mobile in Milan last week. The new INITIALS program allows for fans of the Bottega Venata brand to customize their own “initials’ onto Bottega Veneta’s handcrafted intrecciato nappa leather goods including wallets, cases, belts, and bags. A nice way to individualize your BV piece. The INITIALS service is available now.

Brilliant fucking idea, for those who appreciate and love American breakfast cereals. While the concept of mixing and matching cereals with extras is not new, this may be the first time I have seen it available through an online customizer and mail order. Cerealize.com allows for us all to get involved. You can even customize and save your recipe.

Simply choose a “base” cereal (Honey Oats is the obvious choice) and then choose some extras to make it all yours: choose fruits, nuts, seeds and even “wacky stuff” like yogurt covered raisins. But the be all, end all of “wacky” cereal additions has to be Peeps. Respect to anyone who adds those soft, sticky, marshmellow-like concoctions to their Cerealize order.

I’ve been thinking about “factories” like Maine’s Quoddy for a while. For those not aware, Quoddy is located in Lewiston, Maine, a town pretty much in the middle of nowhere. As in literally in the middle of no-where. Imagine one day, you start getting an increase of orders and the next season, you are in Paris and Europe showcasing your hand-made, made to order footwear – it is a pretty incredible idea. They should be riding this run as hard as they can, and it looks like it is not slowing down.

We’re suckers for a bit of collar detail. Taylor Stitch give us this blue box check shirt with an English cut spread collar. All the Taylor Stitch features you’d expect from these guys are present: double stitched button holes, french seams, collar bones and a whole host of other bits n’ pieces that elevate these shirts above the usual offerings.

They’re calling them Macbook sleeves but in order to keep everyone friendly, we’ll simply refer to them at 13inch laptop sleeves. The Technicolor series uses the same sourced trucking tarps as all Freitag products do; the difference here is that they stick to the bold solid colors. Well made and environmentally proper.

Put those oxfords and brouges away for a while. The sun is out (at least here in the East) and it’s time to let your feet get casual. F-Troupe’s patchwork mid boots do the trick. Lace them up however you like. Move onto a pair that will be all yours. Paper-Scissor-Stone has them.

A few more looks from the Berlin and Paris shows. Libertine-Libertine presented a few belts and laptop sleeve.  Blues and reds on black and beige work well but I’m not sure where outside of Europe they’re being stocked. Check around.
