ACNE announces the launch of their first book from Acne Studios. Celebrating the photographic work of Lord Snowdon, Snowdon Blue collects 61 portraits of famous faces wearing classic blue shirting, including Serge Gainsbourg, David Bowie, Ralph Fiennes, Jeremy Irons, Graham Greene, Sidney Nolan, and Manolo Blahnik.

To help celebrate the launch, ACNE has also produced eight limited edition “unisex” blue shirts to complement the book. We share them with you. Available from ACNE and Barneys stateside.

Remember that minty green knit that Johansson designed for Acne’s S/S 2012 collection? Well it has finally arrived. Part of Acne’s Galway collection of knits, the minty sweater features a ribbed neck, waistband and a raglan styled sleeve. Most important, it will keep you warm, while looking great. Acne’s Mckenzie flight jacket comes in on the shorter end of most aviator/flight wear. The suede blue leather finish is a modern take on the flight jacket which includes ribbed collar and cuffs; welt pockets, and the look of a jacket not similar to many. The Acne jacket comes in at $1600 and may work for some. Available online.

Oki-ni recently received a delivery of Spring Summer 2012 goods from Acne. Yes, Spring Summer. It’s ok to think about the months ahead. Imagining what it’ll be like to wear two layers instead of five won’t jinx it or anything. We laugh in the face of superstition with this ‘Dandy stripe’ blazer. Soft, lightweight striped cotton, two walnut buttons. Yeah, go on, look directly at it Winter. Your time will soon be up.

Portugal’s Por Vocacao showcases their “flowing window display” through this calming video. The wind chime is a wonderful bonus. Features Buttero boots, ACNE jacket, Fallero Sarti scarf.

Paul Barbera’s ‘Where They Create‘ takes a look at studios and offices of the creative, this time stopping off in the Acne Stockholm studio. Their showroom used to be  a grand ballroom in the old banking days and it’s quite the sight. Looks like a great place to work/accidentally leave with a bunch of samples.

‘Attention grabbing’, ‘investment piece’, ‘it’ll stay with you for decades’. These are all phrases you’ll hear when describing a jacket like this. We’re all about that purple swag*. Especially when it’s imparted through a sweater instead of an awful rapper. We’ve also started to notice a trend in knitwear – mixing wools. The (woollen) streets are talking and they’re saying they want wool. And they want it mixed. Mixed like Grey Goose and a mixer. Although Grey Goose should be consumed well out of sight of Puff Daddy, lest he throw you out of his club. (Por Vocacao)
