Adidas have just released the video look book/mood film to their SLVR collection. We like that striped shirt the guy’s wearing. And, if you’re not into the shirt, you can just watch two pretty people walking about. It’s a win/win.

We’re on a trainer trip this week. We’ve always been confused by folks who claim to be over them, they’re as much of a staple as that chambray shirt you started wearing two years ago. Coincidentally, these would look quite nice with a chambray and some chinos. (Crooked Tongues)

We’ve been fans of footwear without ostentatious branding, so this pair of adidas was always going be up our alley. The laces are what sells us on these. Don’t get us wrong, the tan colouring is great, the sole isn’t too thick and it’s got a relatively slim profile, but the laces are what makes this. It’s so good we don’t even mind that the DB stands for David Beckham. (Crooked Tongues)

A good mid top trainer isn’t necessarily an essential (in fact, you can make that argument for 99% of the stuff we put up) but it’s always a nice added bonus. These adidas mid-top Stan Smiths make a nice change from the trainer that dominated our wardrobes growing up and they’re an easy wear. No need to spend time wondering what to wear with (especially with spice school taking up all of our time). [End]

Arkitip points us at one of the best footie collectors set we have seen in some time – adidas Historical World Cup Soccer Ball Set of 10. Every FIFA World Cup official match ball from 1970 to 2006 (2010 is indeed missing) is presented with balls holders featuring the dates of the Cups. As well each ball is made again to their original and exact manufacturing builds. I would love this on my mantle.

We can sit here and argue our favorites but I am pretty sure the majority of readers will point to the Mexico 1986, Tango Azteca as the ball that sticks the strongest in their youth memory. It is hands down the best pattern, best looking kicker (the og ‘78 is great as well).
