Aesop Store Temporary Display in Hong Kong by Cheungvogl Architects

When it comes to unique and strong build-outs, the folks at apothecary Aesop does it better than almost anyone. Their latest installation inside I.T. Hysan in Hong Kong was locally designed by Cheungvogl Architects. The installation features more than 800 resin boxes arranged on steel rods enclosed inside a translucent fabric. The unique veiled is more than likely not done justice through images. The installation will become permanent on their first floor display shortly. tip: designboom

Aesop Ginza Store

Selectism - aesop-store-01

Aesop have opened another store in Japan, this time in Ginza. The interior uses red bricks to reflect the look of the street the store’s on. Formerly a shoe store, this sense of heritage apparently works well with Aesop’s DNA. We have to admit, we have absolutely no idea what brands are on about when they talk about DNA and the like, but the store looks like. See more after the leap. (Think Silly)

Aesop Opens Another Shop in Paris

This one has hit the inbox hard today. Even friends with no association to the industry have reminded me of the new Aesop shop in Paris’ Marais area. The new shop, with it’s minimal finishing and decor is a sight to be seen. More than 400 dishes adorn the walls of the shop; each is used to “stand” bottles and jars of Aesop’s collection of skin, hair and body products. Find them at 64 rue Vieille du Temple.

Aesop Pop-Up Shop and Detox Beauty Bar

Aesop knows build-outs (we’ve covered them in the past). Now Paris looks to get the treatment. “The Australian cosmetics brand opened another striking venue, this time a pop-up store + detox beauty bar at the Merci concept store in Paris. designed by Melburnian architect Rodney Eggleston, who has designed quite a few of the brand’s stores, this space is very much a reflection of his work, incorporating playful repetitions and renditions of regular objects. location: 111 Boulevard Beaumarchais. A.P.C. Fine Fabric Care by Aesop

Selectism - A.P.C. Fine Fabric Care by Aesop

A.P.C. gets a helping hand from Aesop on developing a “wash.” The “Fine Fabric Car” formulation from Aesop looks to treat those delicates in the A.P.C. line-up. As Dazed tell it, “The Fine Fabric Care is a cleanser designed specifically for handwashing delicate garments. Formulated by Aesop chemists, it contains extracts of Pettigrain, Lemon and Cedarwood. Fine Fabric Care is made with the quality ingredients and customary care Aesop uses when making skin, hair and body products.”

Look for it in A.P.C and Aesop shops in the latter half of 2010.
