Selectism - agnès b Spring 2011 Looks

I love the photos from presentations which are shot by the people. Here are a few looks at the agnès b Spring 2011 presentation. ashadedview’s Philip Pourhashemi says, “I guess the best word to describe the spirit of Agnès B. would be inclusive. She has dressed many generations and types of men over the past decades, and her aesthetics looked as fresh as ever. Her clothes are always smart, uncomplicated and reliable wardrobe staples. I loved the fact that she used models from different age groups, demonstrating the broad appeal of her pieces. My personal favourites were the fringed leather jacket and lilac suit.”

It’s the Wednesday before Thanksgiving here in SOHO and the Selectism staff is taking it easy. Though the busiest shopping day of the year is around the corner, the hood is slow at the moment. We took the opportunity to visit the agnès b store right across the street from our office and discovered the latest issue of Point d’ironie, the in-house magazine from the legendary fashion house.

Issue #45 of Point D’ironie features one of our favorite comic artists, Robert Crumb. Mr. Crumb titles the work, “Flesh and Blood Comics” focuses on the impulsive world we live in. Printed in large format, Point d’ironie is published six times per year and distributed through agnès b stores worldwide. It is half magazine and half poster form. An artist is commissioned per issue and is given free reign to do whatever they please with eight pages. Past artists include Damien Hirst, Richard Prince, Louise Bougeois, and many many others.
