The Royal Mail service launches their latest theme collection of official stamps. The “Great British Fashion Stamp Set” collects garments and styles  from 10 local fashion houses including Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen – all beautifully photographed by Sølve Sundsbø with clean silhouettes. Fit yourself into your choice looks.

McQ runs the gamut with this Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. A mix of all sorts, this collection chucks in punk, workwear, tailoring, skinhead…all diluted with that signature McQ look. The baseball jackets in this line up are particularly strong alongside some interesting knit wear, print shirts and plenty of skinny trousers to see you through the winter months. (Highsnob)

A look at some key pieces from Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2012. A label that always seems challenging on the surface, broken down into individual elements there’s plenty of wearable gear here. Particular emphasis on the blazer, the Gingham model with matching trousers is a standout. i-D Magazine’s Spring 2012 “The Royalty Issue” features nine covers featuring portraits and fashion from the very best around. Karl Lagerfeld carries the first of the nine with a self-portrait and “discusses fashion, the future and his fluffy pussycat Choupette, with i-D’s Fashion Director Charlotte Stockdale.” Other covers include photograph by Daniele Duella + Iango Henzi and others. i-D online tells us more.

Canstruction is a competition held each year in New York, utilising artists can-based sculptures. It’s all for charity and some of the sculptures include a Converse Chuck Taylor, that Alexander McQueen shoe and, of course, an Angry Birds sculpture. (Fubiz)

So this print thing is coming on strong eh? It’s almost like people are latching onto something new because they’re tired of extolling the virtues of a plain shirt. Seeing as the skull is the signature of McQueen’s clothing, it’s only logical that they’d turn it into a print. If we had to nitpick, we’d say that the collar is a little ’70s. (Mr Porter)
