Ann Demeulemeester card holder

31 July 2009, 13.30 | Posted in Accessories | No comments »

selectism - ann-demeulemeester-card-holder

We’ve been saying this but we’ll say it again – we’re all about the card holders. A nice small wallet is good, but due to the fact that we only carry cards nowadays, we’re losing our use for them. With a card holder just put all your cards in there and you’re good to go. It slims down the pocket and, more importantly, will help you avoid that wallet fade in your denim. Price-wise, it’s a bit lower than you’d expect for an Ann D piece – but it’s still a long way from cheap. (The Corner)

With the oversized trend not looking to go away any time soon, now’s the time to stock up on quality knitwear. This Ann Demeulemeester cardigan is available at 50% off and is worth every penny/cent. While the sizing and colour on this piece make it a standout piece, the factor that makes it a must buy is the material – we can’t overstate how buttery soft it is. It feels so good, you’ll want to throw out the rest of your knitwear. Get it from Farfetch.

Ann Demeulemeester Sneakers

Ann Demeulemeester makes sneakers and they look good but we do have some difficulty with their crushingly high pricepoint. We agree that the cross braid stitching on the ivory based high top is a nice touch and that the mesh on the low certainly warrants consideration… but the 870$US pricepoint puts it at the very high end of the sneaker game, which is clearly their intended market. Get them now from AR.

There is no shortage of the letter “e” in the title for this hat. Belgian hat designer, Elvis Pompilio, worked with  Ann Demeulemeester on this melusine hat. Made in Belgium from 100% wool, the hat comes at a premium rate, just like all Demeulemeester’s good. Hold on tight – 1175$US from AR. Woah.

Ann Demeulemeester Distressed Sneakers

To get the factory ready distressed look is not an easy feat. We’ve seen enough mishaps in distressed denim and t-shirts to make us stop and re-examine the purpose of distressing. But when it is done well, it works. These high-top sneakers from Ann Demeulemeester are a great example of properly executed distressed fashion. The black and brown leather rises up to the mid calf and looks as if they have been out riding in a Nevada sandstorm for decades. Well done and available from Browns. (via supertalk).
