We’ve been saying this but we’ll say it again – we’re all about the card holders. A nice small wallet is good, but due to the fact that we only carry cards nowadays, we’re losing our use for them. With a card holder just put all your cards in there and you’re good to go. It slims down the pocket and, more importantly, will help you avoid that wallet fade in your denim. Ann Demeulemeester makes sneakers and they look good but we do have some difficulty with their crushingly high pricepoint. We agree that the cross braid stitching on the ivory based high top is a nice touch and that the mesh on the low certainly warrants consideration… but the 870$US pricepoint puts it at the very high end of the sneaker game, which is clearly their intended market. There is no shortage of the letter “e” in the title for this hat. Belgian hat designer, Elvis Pompilio, worked with  Ann Demeulemeester on this melusine hat. Made in Belgium from 100% wool, the hat comes at a premium rate, just like all Demeulemeester’s good. Hold on tight – 1175$US from AR. Woah.

To get the factory ready distressed look is not an easy feat. We’ve seen enough mishaps in distressed denim and t-shirts to make us stop and re-examine the purpose of distressing. But when it is done well, it works. These high-top sneakers from Ann Demeulemeester are a great example of properly executed distressed fashion.
