Highsnobiety tips us off to the new pre-Spring 2012 collection from France’s A.P.C. collection. “A nice bridge in between the Winter and Summer seasons, they offer a solid range of easy to wear goods. Included in the capsule collection are slip-on shoes, mid top boots, a solid bomber jacket, some nice knitwear, shirting, t-shirts, sweatshirts, bags and belts, and of course some nice denim.” “Work them.”

The Semiologie by A.P.C. project takes a more commercial turn on the quilt game established by Jean Touitou & Jessica Ogden for the French line, made special for the Anthropologie shop chains. A variety of quilts are available under the Semiologie moniker. Find them now at Anthropologie.

William Lockie gets the nod from France’s A.P.C. for a series of proper sweaters just in time for autumn and winter. You have options of colors to choose from. Scottish made from 100% lambswool. Should arrive in A.P.C. as we speak or sooner than later.

Here’s a look at the second collection from A.P.C. and the Carhartt workwear line. It is a step up from the first: garments move further away from the workwear side of the collaboration into a more casual wear stance. It looks as though those Carhartt materials remain though. Here’s a fresh take on the messenger from the A.P.C. Autumn 2011 collection. The shap is an interesting one. Comes with two brass-plated closure buckles and a flap front pocket with magnetic closure. A good look.

A.P.C. remains a strong name in a crowded row of  larger volume modern men’s brands. What they offer is a quality collection of men’s garments that season after season appeal to a broad consumer base, while doing their best to not pull too far into the modernism realm. They are a staple brand. You can find A.P.C. in almost big city and their price point is more than reasonable. One of the more sensible collabs, APC have continued working with K-Way. It’s not exactly suited for a hot summer – that phrase sounds silly, but if you live in the UK you’ll know what a cold summer looks like. So if you’re still enduring April showers in July, this is the jacket for you. (End)
