This jet black jacket from Patagonia for Apolis Activism is damn perfect. The fit looks proper and made for urban wear (less so for the active user who may need some room in there to stretch). “h2no® waterproof breathable shell, 2-way adjustable hood with visor, microfleece-lined neck and chin for comfort, all water-resistant zippers, full-length front zipper, arm pit zips, handwarmer pockets which provide a packable self-storage travel option” Packs away nicely as well. (acquire)

Selectism - In The Field With Apolis Activism

Our friends at Valet work an interesting story on Apolis Activism’s work with international missions. Here is a report on what “Apolis Activism is doing and the brothers’ reports of what’s happening as a result of all their international missions. Based off the hugely successful philanthropic briefcase, which sold out so quickly, they’ve decided to do a second run that will be released on December 9th. This is how that project came to be, the results from the collective efforts and and what’s to come for Apolis Activism.

Selectism - Apolis Activism Autumn/Winter 2009

Apolis Activism lines their online blog with previews of their Autumn/Winter collection for 2009. I don’t mind saying that I am fond of the 5 Pocket Wool CPO shirt or even the Wax Canvas Bomber Jacket – both of which remain heritage proper and classic for the moment. If you are not familiar with the line, be sure to check out our back catalog of great looks from Apolis Activism.

“Made to Measure” Board Shorts at Am. Rag Tonight

katin men style apolis activism Made to Measure Board Shorts at Am. Rag Tonight

This is a trip. Our friends at men.style report in on a one night only board short event. “The secret to great surf trunks? A little old Japanese lady, of course. In 1961, Sato Hughes … started as a seamstress at Huntington Beach’s Katin Surf Shop, later inheriting the company; her attention to detail and quality have helped make Katins a SoCal staple for the better part of five decades. To celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary, Katin collaborator Apolis Activism is bringing the 84-year-old out of retirement for a one-night-only made-to-measure event tonight at L.A.’s American Rag.” How dope is that?
